does not hold upNadegeI bought this item last year, intended to use it for the shower. Does not hold much weight. Even empty, it keeps falling off (several times a week). I love the color, so I ended up keeping it as a tray to hold pets poop bags.. sad :(1
Not strong enoughDavidThe suction cups were not strong enough to hold the weight of a bottle of soap for longer than 30 minutes.1
Falls downEkaterinaThis shelf looks great, but it falls down every 3-4 month. 2
Holding up!DominiqueWe use this to hold our bas soaps. It's easy to remove the tray and rinse. It hasn't fell down which is more important than anything. 5
Tile wall store at it's BEST!ConnieGreat adhesion with the suction cup! Sturdy and easy to clean/rinse. Great size for bath items for my free standing tub!5
Worked Great Until It Didn’tJennaHad these up for six months, then out of nowhere we heard a crash. One of them had just fallen down randomly. Three weeks later, another one dropped. We ended up taking them all down after that because the second one broke an antique ceramic bowl on the counter. I followed the directions, had pushed until I felt the suction work, then tightened them, and it still didn’t last. I’m only writing a review because in my new search for a spice rack these popped up again. Bummed cause these would have been perfect. 1
wouldn't buy againDebbieIt won't stay on wall. 1
love this shelf!KaliskaPerfect cute affordable- worked great for my bathroom storage to keep light products off the sink 5
Terrible suction but looks greatJosieI bought these to use in our shower, as I read some great reviews of others doing the same thing. Unfortunately the suction cups didn’t work at all, they barely stayed up on our bathroom tiles while empty, let alone with any items in them. Great looking design so it’s a shame they don’t work properly. I tested them on a mirror and the suction grip was a little better, but still not amazing. It’s a shame as I wanted to love this product!1
Pretty Color, Poor FunctionEmmeI wanted to love this... I fell in love with the color and ordered a few products in this color. The instructions indicate that the weight limit is 2.2 kg (1 lb), but I haven't been able to test this limit, as it cannot seem to hold itself up with nothing in the tray. I tried cleaning the wall and shoving the suction cups as hard as I could, to no avail. Total bummer. I have to see if I can repurpose the tray for use elsewhere because I'm tired of picking up the contraption from the floor of my bathtub.2
Looks great sitting on the counterJohnI wanted a little tray to keep next to my kitchen sink to hold a soap dispenser, sponge, and scrubber. This holds all three perfectly, and it looks really good. It's next to the sink flush against the wall but I didn't use the suction cups so I can't comment on those.5
Great looking VipulBut it is not fixed as required
Slightly shaking and looks chance of fall4
Flimsy and doesn't suctionSuI read the reviews, instructions and suggestions but this item just kept falling off the wall. It's not very sturdy, maybe only holds sponges? I put a bottle of shaving cream, a razor and tube of face soap in it. After the first slip off the wall, my husband stuck it to another part of the shower. This time it slipped off while we were away and hit the hot water knob, tuning it on. I don't know how many hours the hot water ran before we discovered it, but I'll find out when I get the water bill I suppose. The look of it is great, but in person the quality is very cheap. Great design, poor quality.1
Amazing ShelfKathrynAll of the bathroom items, with suction cups, that Ikea makes ARE amazing. They are so strong. PUSH DOWN HARD until it “pops”. There is no way any of the people who left negative reviews installed it correctly. They hold so much weight and I can’t move them unless I pry up the edge of the suction cup with a credit card.5
ShelveCatherineReally stays attached in the shower5
Did not stickAoifeEven though it was pressed very securely on the wall, on a clean surface, it kept falling with minimal weight. Looked great, but needs better suction cups.1
GreatKseniyaThis is a great item - I have it in my kitchen backsplash holding herbal tinctures. You have to push down very very hard for it to stick, but once it does it's like super glue. You can use a credit card to remove it. I've tried it on wood and its worked as well. Great item, wish they had more suction items like that in a variety of colors.5
Very useful!KyleI don't understand the negative reviews, maybe people aren't installing it properly; you have to press hard on the knobs until the suction cup pops onto the wall. I used this shelf to hold small items in my shower and it's sturdy and sticks well to the wall.5
Wouldn’t stickJulieDon’t waste your money!
I threw it away because it wasn’t worth my time to waste returning it - that takes forever at IKEA as well1
