Broken Slats After A YearJoel P.We bought this product last year. After a year some of the wood slats broke. We went to Ikea for replacement parts and they said they do not have a replacement for this slats. Now, we cannot use this product because of broken slats and might not be safe to seat /sleep. I am not sure about the durability of this product. How long are those slats expected to last.
Cute and Functional, Not SturdyAUGUST M.My partner and I bought this last summer for a new apartment and while it is very handy for having guests over, the wooden beams across the bottom are not sturdy. Two beams broke within a month of purchase and one comes loose from the plastic endcaps every few weeks. This is just from regular use (sitting, sleeping) by two average people, so I'm disappointed that it broke so easily. I've tried to find replacement wood, but it's also very difficult to repair because the wood has to fit perfectly into the slots. Overall, it's a low-cost sofa bed that is good for short-term guests, but beware of repairs that might be needed sooner rather than later.
Very firm & uncomfortable bed, good couchJessica M.I have an efficiency apartment so having a futon that’s easily adjustable to save space was high on my check list for furniture. Price wise, this futon was exactly what I was looking for. The assembly took 5 minutes and I was ready to go. I thought the joint and back pain would go away after getting used to how firm the bed is but I’ve been sleeping on it for two weeks and I’m over how much pain this bed is causing me. I don’t get a good nights sleep and my body hurts through the day which affects my day to day. The crease from the fold is very noticeable so you have to sleep on one side or other. It’s very very firm with no support. Even though this wasn’t exactly what I was going for sleep wise, it’s a great couch. Easily adjustable from bed to sofa. You can sit three or four people and it doesn’t take up space. I’m going to invest in a mattress topper to salvage my purchase.
Nyhamn Futonmaureen t.I purchased this futon because my family was visiting, which turned into a horror. They were so uncomfortable the entire night, I was very embarrassed .. I had one many years ago which was great, so I decided to purchase this one considering it had a 4Star review. I am sorry to say this was disappointment

Hard. Really hard.DarcyI bought this IKEA futon bed for my son’s visit. Had not seen him in 3 yrs. One night on it, and he could not do another, ended up sleeping on my couch in the living room. Not sure what to do with it cuz if I put a thick topper on it, it won’t fold into a couch properly. An expensive mistake ~ price plus Taskrabbit fees.
Great for the quality and price, but not so easy to put togetherFernI bought this as an extra bed for guests to sleep. It's very sturdy and comfortable. The only issue I have with it was the assembly process. Some of the directions/pictures were confusing as to placement of certain parts, and I injured my finger sliding the spring bracket into the frame-I had to use WD-40 to make the bracket slide in easier after it got stuck and caught my finger. Other than that, it is a good futon for the price and comfort.

There is just one thing I would ask for????? Soooo. I love it lots, but can you make the back a lil shorter. I just think I would give up some of the sleeping space for that low back style… also maybe then it wouldn’t have to be as far from the wall?
