It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. Care
The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly and not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary.
Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.
Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.
Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.
To increase the stability of your furniture, re-tighten the screws at least once per season.

Nice bench but not properly cutJocelynThe support stick for the bench wasn’t cut properly so assembling it was impossible without having to make one of the screw holes deeper. As a result, the bench is now battered.
Nice bench, but assembly issuesDanaLove this bench but it was one of the more frustrating Ikea builds. The cross-brace cannot be installed with the hardware and tools provided. The bolt/nut combo does not work correctly on the cross brace (the nut is too small and does not tighten onto the bolt). Required a trip to the hardware store for a functioning bolt/nut. Otherwise it's a nice bench.

Perfect Outdoor BenchTracySturdy, simple benches. Easy to put together! Rubbed linseed oil on benches and they look beautiful! Only negative is the screws that came with the benches are silver and stand out against the warmness of the wood. Would use darker color for screws to blend in if I had been paying enough attention when putting the benches together.

“We want NÄMMARÖ to be easy to both take home and live with,” says product developer Anders Adler. He and the development team found a part of the solution in a simple geometric shape – the square.
