Slats keeps falling off VenanciaYes, slats are constantly falling off and now resulting to one of them ripping from the connector. Seriously don’t waste your money on this.
Nice but...NeilI like the bed and as a guest bed, I've had no issues, except one. That is the height of the bed. For tall people and older people, just too low. Ive looked for bed legs in the catalogue but keep running into non specific solutions. Any thoughts on this Ikea?
SLATS NOT LONG ENOUGHTravisThe slats in question are too short and so they constantly fall from the l channel. IF they were done correctly they would be flush against the L bracket and be impossible to slide off and to the floor causing the mattress to sag.

The Curvature has a purpose, but lost it over timeChunMy bed is some years old now. The curvature of the slats is gone, they are now flat of sagging below. Now if I sleep in the middle I will feel the metal beam there, it is higher than either side.
The other problem is shrinkage, they become so short; it can easily slip and drop to the floor. I had to tie them down with a cord. A lot of work and maintenance. :(
The design needs to improve. However, I have seen them doing it. This design has been at least 30 years old.
Keeps collapsingJenIt doesn't seem to fit well, almost like it is too short. And if you keep opening the drawers it gets it off track.

These are horribleKellyI bought these to put on my child’s first real bed. Unfortunately, there is no safe way to use them (or the bed now). They are so raised that the mattress is completely unstable and slides all over the place. I’m going to have to return them, which likely means returning the bed frame too, as ikea no longer sells flat slats. I’m so disappointed.

16 or 17 slats?CharlesWe have two sets of these. First set was fine and fit snug with white pins. Second bed purchased later doesn’t seem to fit the same and only has 16 rows of the slats and does seem short a row. Product photo also shows 17 rows of slats. Some made short possibly?
Does not fit a metal frameHeidiI recently purchased this item to provide additional support for my king-size bed. Unfortunately, it is incompatible with my existing metal frame. The product description did not specify any limitations regarding metal frame compatibility. I would like to initiate a return for this item and request a full refund. I am hoping that IKEA can waive the return shipping fee in this situation. The person i just spoke with asked me if my bed frame was purchased from ikea. I'm not sure why that matters. Something needs to be put in the description about metal frames.

Price matches qualityIsabelWe needed a cheap bed frame and that is what we got. After 2 years of daily use one slat has splintered and several have come off of the ribbon keeping them all straight. This means that they frequently get dislodged and I have to lift the mattress and put them back in place. We will get another set of slats but only because it’s cheaper than getting a new bed entirely and it’ll do for now.
You know its bad when i take time out of my day to write a reviewMacarthurI bought these about a month ago and they are already pretty much useless. They are great if you dont move an inch….because if you do then youre most likely gonna hear a few slats slip off the frame. The anxiety that i feel before sitting on my bed HOPING that the slats stay in place is not worth $50. These things are so cheap its embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks on something more reliable.
Extremely poor qualityAubrienneMy first set of Luroy bed slats was purchased around 2019. They held up well and never caused any issues. In April of 2024 I bought new slats for a new bed, and immediately noticed the decline in quality. The slats bent much easier, and thus are constantly popping out of the frame, leading to dips in the mattress only fixable by removing the mattress entirely to fix the slats. Looking online I've read that many other people have the same issues, citing poorer quality in the newer slats. Ikea support has refused to refund the defective product
