Pretty but you really cant cleanLaurenI really liked the look - felt thick, substantial and layed flat (used the rug under cushion they recommend with it). Liked that it was made of natural materials. Great value for the size. We used it in the living room. However, you just really can't clean up spills. It can't get wet. A gentle non-toxic cleaning solution lightened the spot spills were. Only lasted about a year for us before there were too many bleachy-looking spots & started looking haggard. Wish it worked better but not good in a house where you have more messes than just dust.
Definitely worth the moneyVeronicaI wanted to add warmth to my living room because the floor tile is white. This rug does the perfect job with a warm honey tone. It’s inexpensive and soft enough for bare feet. It is a bit “rough” in places where the jute is less finely processed but I don’t mind. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Great Style & Value HollyI have purchased 4 Lohals over the past 6 months. Started with the smallest for a doormat on my front porch and liked it so I bought a larger one for inside the door. I have since purchased 2 large ones for my porches. These rugs are comfortable to walk on with bare feet which I cannot say of all jute rugs. I may buy some runners for my inside hallway as well as they seem to bear foot traffic very well and look great too!

Takes a beating and still looks brand new!AnneliseI have three of these rugs. They are heavily used and abused by our shoes, our three cats, and a big dog. Our cats are constantly scratching at these and the rugs still look brand new months later. No snags or evidence of scratching. Rugs keep their shape. One pet had a urine accident on it, and we were worried because online it says that jute can develop mold if left wet. We used dry towels to absorb the urine from the rug, sprayed it lightly with Nature's Miracle, and the rug came through without any problems. No odors or lasting damage. I can't believe how much these rugs get abused at our house and yet they look so new!

What is jute?
Jute is a very hardwearing fiber that is found in the stem of the jute plant. It’s an easy-to-grow plant that requires very little fertilizer, pesticides or water and is ready to harvest after only 120 days. The jute fiber is often used for ropes and sacks but is also known for its silky-smooth luster and can be spun into finer threads which are then woven. In our range we often use woven jute for items like curtains, rugs and furniture.
