Looks nice but smells like sulfurAnonymousI have had a few of these in my house for three months. I did notice that the underside, the no-slip backing, smelled like sulfur, which I believe is the latex mentioned in the product description. At first I didn't really notice the smell much and the backing is obviously facing the floor and kind of sealed away from fuming up your home. Well, I was a little bit noticing the smell on one we had in our camper so I put all of them outside to air out and I think I made them worse. It was rather hot out and I don't think they were in direct sun but now when they are inside the rooms smell very strongly of sulfur and I have to get rid of them. I'm sure it's made worse by my putting them in the hot weather to off-gas which didn't work. Boo hoo!

What is jute?
Jute is a very hardwearing fiber that is found in the stem of the jute plant. It’s an easy-to-grow plant that requires very little fertilizer, pesticides or water and is ready to harvest after only 120 days. The jute fiber is often used for ropes and sacks but is also known for its silky-smooth luster and can be spun into finer threads which are then woven.
