Strong, well made glasses.AndreinaI bought these to use to drink water because I like the design because it fits the hand really well. These are made of thick glass and are not fragile so no fear of them breaking in the dishwasher. They are a bit "heavy" when full, but I like them so much I don't care. I purchased a few when at an Ikea store and after my delicate, fragile glasses eventually broke, I replaced them with six more of these which came well packaged, not a single one was broken. I highly recommend these glasses. They are well worth the money.5

Feels good in the hand. Not too heavy but not so light you’d feel afraid of crushing it while slamming the brewskies. Is a pint and holds a can of Guinness comfortably.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
