Going to returnTaylorThe pictures in several IKEA staged rooms made it seem that these lights could be added to a wall and plugged in… but no. These lights needed to be installed with wires and not something I could just place by my makeup station. Very disappointed. 1
extremely disappointing and not user friendlyLauraWe bought two of these lights to be either side of a wall mirror
We understood that the lights had wires behind with plugs which could be plugged into the normal wall outlet.
We found out after the delivery that rheumatoid arthritis lights have to be wired through the wall and would need a professional electrician to do the job
At $200 an hour for the electrician and also to have to cut into the wall this is not a good product
We are going to have to return them1
DisappointedSemThe electric set up is literally trash….1
Classic and stylishSandraThese are the second ones I buy.
I use them above my mirror in my bathroom and it’s a great light to put on make up.5
Very disappointed - size listed incorrectlyJudithI bought two based upon listed measurements "Length: 24 "Width: 2 "Depth: 4" to replace fixtures in a small bathroom. Length is 24 BUT Width is 4" and Depth is 2". I ended up having to take out the medicine cabinet with mirror and now have a wall mounted mirror on order. and had to buy a cabinet for the other wall. No wiring caps are included, and directions are terrible. What should have been a 15-20 minute project was over 3 hours and still not done.1

Not quite up to Ikea standardsPeterMy wife has been wanting to have a light bar for the above the bathroom mirror, and this looked like a good choice. However, it was extraordinarily difficult to install - the wall was slightly bowed, and there was not a faction of a millimeter play in the mounting screws (I had to grind the mounting screw to a point to squeeze it into the threaded plate). Also, the mounting plate did not have holes to fit a circular pancake box, which the previous fixture had used. And after all that, my wife isn't too happy because the fixture is not very bight, and the bulbs cannot be changed out (she is also not too happy with the light temperature). So this was not a pleasant experience.3
BrightDennisaAffordable, great quality and bright!5
It’s exactly what I wanted!AnonymousI bought this not knowing how I was going to actually to turn the lights on with all the electrical wiring that I know nothing about. Luckily my husband was able to convert the wiring into two plugs (for each fixture; I bought two). This way I can easily rearrange or relocate. The lights are soft and not too bright. I am so happy with my purchase.5
great vanity lightHarrietthis light looks lovely- nice and bright- BUT know that it is not dimmable.5
NahAnonymousI bought this the lights were beautiful but one thing the cord has wires can’t go through outlet on wall disappointed since I’m renting I can’t use the wall for wiring. Also didn’t know about the wiring had to go back to ikea and it was a long road for me to get their3
Misunderstood conceptJoniI bought two of these for my daughter's make-up desk. The lamps need to be hard wired into the wall rather than plugged into an outlet. Not very user friendly for apartment living. I wished the lights would have been displayed with that disclaimer and I wish I had been more observant to the display and did more research before purchasing. Not an easy return as I live 90 minutes from the nearest IKEA store.1
