Strong smellLidiyaI bought two of these blankets and unfortunately both are going to a donation bin. The smell of wool is off putting and strong even after handwashing in cold water with wool detergent. The edges are wavy and it’s lost its shape. To top it off, the green is much more cool toned and blueish rather than olive. Disappointed.

Disappointed - SO much FUZZ after washingElizabethI had high hopes for this blanket, but upon the first wash, there is so much fuzz, I can't handle it. I've never had a cotton/wool blanket shed so much! I'm debating trying to wash it again to see if that helps, or if I should just give it away since it's beyond being returned.
It's a lovely green, with a nice weight, and it's the kind of blanket you'd pull out in the winter to accompany your book and coffee; however, when your cup is empty and the book is read, you'll be covered in fuzz and likely to have ingested some of that fuzz with your coffee, so unless you're okay with that, I'd pass.

Love this!Anonymous reviewerI LOVE this throw! My absolute favorite, so much so that I bought a second for myself as well as one for my father. The wool really keeps you warm on cold nights. As for the smell, it’s made of wool, it’s a mild earthy smell that (in my opinion was only noticeable when first purchased and when wet, once the blanket dried (HANG DRY ONLY, or it will like any wool shrink) the smell was gone. Highly recommend.

Love it!CandaceI agree that there is an odd smell, but I've only noticed it when I've washed it and it's still wet. Once it's dry I don't smell it. I've washed it twice and made the mistake the second washing (was lazy) of throwing it in the dryer. So now, instead of 51" x 67" it's 41" x 57". :o I have it at the end of my bed so now it doesn't cover as much but still big enough and a nice heavy feel when I want an extra layer over me while sleeping. I may buy another one because I really like it, but make sure I take the time to air dry it.
Smells like chemicalsIsabelleThis throw is beautiful but smells terrible. I’m not sure washing it will help if it’s odor from flame retardants. I specifically look for wool to avoid the chemicals, but sometimes wool is still treated.
