Small, weird smell, lot of fuzzMauraAlso received with an odd smell (as most blankets I've gotten from IKEA). I was disappointed in the size of this blanket as I thought it would be larger, even with looking at the dimensions before purchase. After washing, my dryer was FULL of so much fuzz, and the fuzz continues to fall from this blanket. Would not recommend this product.
comfy throw blanketEricit has two sides, one a softer warmer wooly side, and one a rougher cotton side. both feel pretty nice on the skin. looks pretty too and either textured side can be displayed

Beautiful, natural, and functional.ErikThe instant I saw this I knew I had to have it eventually. Now I do and I'm very satisfied. I really like the color, weave and design. It is handmade and the cotton is an olive green while the wool is more of a gray/silver sage. It is hand woven and the perfect color. The cotton side feels so smooth and crisp while when you put the wool side down you can feel the warmth but also how the heat is distributed and balanced and the blanket never too warm. Whenever I see it a review of wool people either complain about the fact that it sheds or that it smells but I don't find that to be the case at all with this blanket or any blanket I ever bought from IKEA.

Strong smellLidiyaI bought two of these blankets and unfortunately both are going to a donation bin. The smell of wool is off putting and strong even after handwashing in cold water with wool detergent. The edges are wavy and it’s lost its shape. To top it off, the green is much more cool toned and blueish rather than olive. Disappointed.

Disappointed - SO much FUZZ after washingElizabethI had high hopes for this blanket, but upon the first wash, there is so much fuzz, I can't handle it. I've never had a cotton/wool blanket shed so much! I'm debating trying to wash it again to see if that helps, or if I should just give it away since it's beyond being returned.
It's a lovely green, with a nice weight, and it's the kind of blanket you'd pull out in the winter to accompany your book and coffee; however, when your cup is empty and the book is read, you'll be covered in fuzz and likely to have ingested some of that fuzz with your coffee, so unless you're okay with that, I'd pass.

Love this!Anonymous reviewerI LOVE this throw! My absolute favorite, so much so that I bought a second for myself as well as one for my father. The wool really keeps you warm on cold nights. As for the smell, it’s made of wool, it’s a mild earthy smell that (in my opinion was only noticeable when first purchased and when wet, once the blanket dried (HANG DRY ONLY, or it will like any wool shrink) the smell was gone. Highly recommend.

Love it!CandaceI agree that there is an odd smell, but I've only noticed it when I've washed it and it's still wet. Once it's dry I don't smell it. I've washed it twice and made the mistake the second washing (was lazy) of throwing it in the dryer. So now, instead of 51" x 67" it's 41" x 57". :o I have it at the end of my bed so now it doesn't cover as much but still big enough and a nice heavy feel when I want an extra layer over me while sleeping. I may buy another one because I really like it, but make sure I take the time to air dry it.
