Simple. Placed it on top of my 2 alex drawers and created a desk!ChristineI have the older alex drawers so I can't screw the top onto the alex drawers. I decided to create a table for myself and this tabletop has been perfect for it. Simply place it on top. I actually cut to size and placed grippy drawer liners on the top of both of the alex drawers before placing the tabletop so it won't shift too easily. Once you have all the stuff on top of your table it weighs it down and it won't move. This is a great size and with alex drawers on both sides it still gives me a alot of room for my chair for sitting!5
Okay unless you need to drill holes.DorothyThis is a very poor tabletop. The material underneath isn’t good if you need to drill your own holes. It just crumbles when you screw in the screws.
If you use the pre drilled holes, it will probably make do.
The Galant tabletop that was discontinued was a much stronger and more durable material.
This feels much less substantial.1

It fit my budgetMIt fit my budget but it is not a bargain. I was careful handling the tabletop when fastening the legs and removed the plastic and protective cardboard when the desk was completely assembled. Still there was a chip on one edge and a corner was bashed in. I suspect the damage happened on the way to being delivered to my house. The finish on the surface doesn't look durable and I wouldn't be surprised if it quickly starts to look worn. I feel I'm paying for the convenience of having a piece of furniture within days. The quality is just enough to make it a pain to return. If time wasn't a factor, I would have shopped around for a second hand desk.3

Shockingly poor qualityPeterThis product is made out of cheap particle board, probably costs under $0.50 to manufacture. The wood is so soft that it will be a miracle if it arrives at your home without significat damage, including chipping, peeling and flaking.1
