It's complicated - Lagkapten/Alex desk/drawer setKatieI love my desk and especially the deep drawers. However, it was confusing to put together and took a lot longer than it should have (I have several other ikea pieces I have assembled). Specifically, the top sections of each drawer unit had designated screw holes (4) to attach drawer unit to the desk top as well set of 4 holes at each corner for a total of 20 pre-drilled holes. I found this confusing because I thought maybe the 4 holes on each corner were meant for wheel casters on the bottom (not top) of each unit? I watched a couple of YouTube videos to see if anyone pointed this out but didn't come across anything to explain the reasoning. So, I forged ahead defaulting to the fact that the larger 4 holes were meant for attaching the drawers to the top. It would be helpful to point out (if this is how it's supposed to be) whats/whys of various elements of the design in the instructions. Other than that , I'm very happy with the desk.
Shocking low qualityLarsLess than 24 hours and white coating is peeling off desk top. Very disappointing.
DefectiveRobertaI’m a fan of the product, this is my second unit. However one of the drawer units were defective. Started the return process but ended up scrapping it because I didn’t want the hassle of going to return in person.
Wish it Sat Higher JaniceI really like the desk; however, I wish there was a way to have it sit higher. I don’t think I’ll be able to work at it all day with as low as it sits.

I thought it would be very sturdy and thick wood but some of it was made very cheap. Kinda disappointed how much we paid and how cheap it’s made. The insert for drawer
Didn’t even fit. It showed bought together and I bought one to try it and it doesn’t even fit.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
