How to get it

The design is neat and toned down, the grey-green colour is stylish. The alarm takes centre stage since it increases in 4 steps over 2 minutes, if it is not turned off. Enough to awaken heavy sleepers!

Increasing sound in 4 steps over 2 minutes, if you don’t wake up and turn it off.

You can easily set the alarm time by using the 2 buttons on the back of the alarm clock.

Only negative is lack of instructions on setting the time/alarm, but that is a reflexion on Ikea not sending instructions than on the actual product. Still... please start sending instructions? You already waste paper with the multi-language info, having instructions shouldn't be that much more of an issue - even just visual graphics would help! :D4

Nice sidekick for a bed tableJILANAAs other reviewers said, there is no backlight and I had to come to the product page for instructions (booOoO). I don’t sleep with my phone next to me, so it’s been great to have when I’m reading at night and to check the time in the morning. I do not use the alarm setting (I already use the IKEA x Sonos speaker which has amazing alarm features through the Sonos app- highly recommend).4

Designer thoughts

It was a fun job to design KUPONG alarm clock. It’s a tiny product with a lot of character, both practical and decorative and with a playful design. I was inspired by signs and bulletin boards and think that the finished clock is a bit reminiscent of one of those sandwich boards which warns of wet floors. And perhaps a small four-legged animal. I think the best thing about KUPONG is that it is fun and at the same time discreet - and that you actually benefit a lot from it!
