Airing and vacuuming will help to eliminate the smell that the rug can have when it is new.

Do not wash.

Do not bleach.

Vacuum, shake and rotate the rug regularly.

Remove dried spots immediately by scraping carefully towards the middle of the spot.

Do not rub wet spots. Absorb moisture with paper towels, and clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Professional carpet cleaning when needed.

Always use the standard floorhead, never the rotating brush, when vaccuming the rug.

love the appearance but poor quality, i expect better from ikeaCraigonly had this rug for 1 year and already the stitching has started to come loose around the edges. we have a small 2 person home and we don't wear shoes in our house, so although we walk on the rug every day i wouldn't consider that to be high traffic or damaging. definitely doesn't seem like a rug should be coming apart in such a short time under those conditions even at this price, pretty disappointed2

Even with a big hairy dog lazing around on it, the rug has kept its color and is super easy to spot clean as necessary. It still looks new. It's also very easy to vacuum because it's so sturdy and flat. I have a very powerful vacuum cleaner, and other rugs get sucked into the intake, but not this rug. I'm thinking of getting another one, this time for an outdoor patio.5

The mat was just what i ordered and it lay ou flat on the floor. My cat thought it was a new toy to roll on and try to make a nest on, but 4 corner stick down tabs stopped that It is a good purchase.
