Space-saving strainerTanya K.This space saving strainer works as intended and you can even cradle it over large pots after the pasta is drained. We had one for a couple years before it got a tear in it and did not hesitate to buy a replacement.5

A Little Learning NeededJamieWe live in a condo with limited storage space. This will be a great asset. While not easy for cooking long pasta (linguine, spaghetti, etc.), we can see it will be useful for rigatoni, tortalini and ravioli - as well as vegetables. The ability to lift the cooked items out if the water also helps us retain that precious pasta water for sauces. Overall, we're very pleased.4

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
