Hardware to go with IKEA deskDianeHardware arrived in timely manner. I was impressed, as the desk/bookshelf set up I wanted wasn't in stock. So I bought it in pieces based on the individual piece listing on complete set (thank you IKEA!). I was afraid buying in pieces I may not get complete installation instructions with how to put entire set together, but sure enough -- IKEA is always so thorough -- the instructions for attachment to desk and shelf part were in this hardware box.5
Very confusingJacquieI would say I’m very good at putting together Ikea furniture. I got this to connect my tabletop to my Kallax shelves to make the kallax home office (which it’s specifically made for). The instructions are confusing, specifically around step 4 and with the function and placement of the long metal bars. I’m assuming they’re for additional support? Also, they came with multiple different screws, bolts, etc. that were not in the manual. Customer service was also confused on placement and function of the bars and directed me to an IKEA YouTube video that did not exist. Because I would need to screw holes into the kallax to attach, I haven’t moved past step 3. My tabletop is currently just resting on the kallax with the brackets and without the long rods.2
