Great price and dependable qualityAlyssaI love IKEA cookware. This is a great pot and it has a small hole for venting in the lid, which lets me use it for popping popcorn!5
Rusted from broccoli bits!?RyannThis is the perfect sized stock pot, not too big and not too small but it didn't last 3 months. Fairly quickly dark spots appeared on the inside bottom of the pot. They appear to be part of the metal like it is discoloration. After blanching broccoli with the pot, I forgot to wash the pot out that night. The next morning the pot was covered in rust spots where little broccoli pieces were left. The pot is unusable now.1
Not Food Safe, Black & Grey ResidueLeThis is not safe for food & I cannot use it. I need a refund. There is some kind of oily black industrial chemical goo up under the rim of the pot & the lid. No amount of washing & wiping removes it, it just keeps coming. I really needed a cooking pot which is why I invested so much time into trying to make this work. No exaggeration, I washed and wiped this pot for two hours trying to get rid of the black goo and I was unsuccessful. Even worse is the grey metal residue that wipes off on a clean white paper towel. No matter how much you soap, wash and rinse, the grey metal residue wipes off onto the paper towel. I boiled plain water in the pot to see if I could boil off the grey residue (which did not work, the metal grey residue persisted) and the pot started pitting and discoloring with black lesion-like spots on the bottom. I do not think anyone should be eating food out of this. Please consider recalling the item.1

Another great cooking pot. PaulIKEA cooking pots are probably the best out there. We now have all IKEA pots in our kitchen. They’re strong, well built, still look great after daily use and cleaning. 5

Black Residue on RimsBryanJust needed a few pots to replace a few older stainless steel cookware and thought this and another pot in the same collection were perfect replacements. I noticed upon cleaning them thoroughly the first time (before actually cooking with them) that the rim of the pots as well as the rims on the lids had black residue that would come off on my towel as I was drying them by hand. Despite trying to clean it several times with a paper towel, I still get traces of this residue coming off. I'm not sure if it's some sort of manufacturing residue, but it does make me a little nervous about whether these pots are safe to use if the residue somehow gets into my food.2
Handles Falling Off of PotGregoryI cannot use this saucepan because the handles were both loose and falling off when when I took the pan.out of the box 1
