Great size glass containerConnieThis is my favorite size glass container that I’ve purchased from IKEA, it’s nice to be able to put all of the leftovers from dinner in one container and I like that they’re a good size and it makes it easy to stack things on top of if need be inside the refrigerator. They’re a little pricey, and I wish the lid was included in the price of the container But it’s a great find at IKEA and I think it’s relatively new.

They got stuck together so tightly that when getting them apart one of them exploded all over our kitchen when we got home. The containers themselves are great but my instinct was to stack them and it turns out that's dangerous.

Replaced All of My Other Glass ContainersJillI like that the glass comes in different sizes, but everything is a uniform color and the lids fit various depths of the glassware. If something breaks or is lost, it's easily replaceable (which I've done a couple times). These are all I use for leftovers and our dogs' food prep. They're awesome and a great value.

Ikea to the rescue! 2 of these bins hold a 15 lb. bag of puppy chow, and I got a third for cat food. The food still smells fresh even toward the end of the supply, so I know it is sealing tight when I close the lid.
these fit in my dishwasher and the snap close tabs on the top are easy to operate even when my hands are stiff or numb due to arthritis and carpal tunnel.

IKEA 365+ storageMonicaI love these glass with gasket lids. I use them not only in my kitchen but all ove my home for various storage purposes. As someone trying to get organized, and minimalize the space I use and to get rid of the stuff I don't use or need these containers help with organizing the clutter. I also enjoy the stacking option as with commercial packaging it's difficult to organize much less maximize my space. Additionally you are able to see what's in your containers. If you are worried about expiration dated take a sticky note and write that there. Or simply cut out the expiration date from the original packaging and place it inside with your contents. The possibilities are endless.

If you want to reduce food waste but sometimes think it’s a bit of a pain to take care of your food, this might help. IKEA 365+ food storage products make it easier to store, save and bring food with you on the go. To get to know more about peoples’ needs, we visited families in several countries. We found out that it’s all about versatility and simplicity.
You've just put leftovers after eating into a food container, but can't find a lid that fits. Or maybe you've put a food container in the fridge with food in it, but you can't see what's inside the food container and completely forget about the food. These were things we heard time and time again when interviewing families about their experiences. “We wanted to develop products to make this easier,” says David Granath, a product developer who has worked with the project. “They should be simple and flexible. And easy to combine and use in ways that suit every household.”
No extra work
Smart and super simple
The IKEA 365+ food containers and lids can be combined and also come in different materials and sizes. They are super simple – and that's the point. “We've put a lot of work into them, for example by seeing to it that all the different parts fit together. But the product itself is simple in a smart way.” We can't solve the entire food waste problem – but we can make it possible for everyone to be part of the solution.
Material
What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
