Doesn't fit IKEA knives?KateI purchased this product as well as the IKEA 365+ 5-piece knife set, and the five IKEA knives do not fit inside of the knife block. Why would IKEA design a set of five knives and a knife block and not make them compatible? It does not make any sense. The only way to get the three largest knives to fit is to put the serrated knife into the slot for a knife sharpener, but this is cut all the way through the block, thus resulting in your knife touching the countertop surface beneath the knife. IKEA could have very easily elongated just one of the slots on this block and all the knives would fit. It is truly beyond my comprehension.

The 365 knives come as a set of 5, yet the 5 slots in the block do NOT allow the 5 knives to fit in to the slots. 4 of the knives fit with one sticking out. What exactly was the point of this "block" if it won't fit the knives that the same company sells?

Look very closely before buyingRodThe knife block is great, once you find one without a blob of glue partially blocking a slot midway through. I had to inspect 7 until finding one without a glue blob. They n ed to implement better quality assurance inspections at the factory.

Nice option for knife storageTakeliaNice option for knife storage. I am using this to store my new Graphitestone Nutriblade knives. My only suggestion for improvement is there should be 6 slots for knives instead of 5 and then the additional slot for scissors.
