Product details

Suitable for rooftop windows, tilt windows and turn windows.

The blind can be cut and re-cut to fit a smaller window. Ensure that you do not exceed maximum cut length.

Drill-free mounting using the 4 included brackets with adhesive tape. The adhesive has been tested and approved for smooth glass surfaces.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

The assembly instructions include a table with numbers corresponding to those on the fabric and rails to facilitate precise measuring and cutting.

The rails at the top and bottom allow you to mount the pleated blind precisely, covering any gap.

Easy to maneuver using either of the plastic handles at the top or bottom.

Depending on your needs, you can pull the blind from the top down or from the bottom up. You can also adjust the blind so it only covers a section in the middle.

The fabric effectively blocks out light and completely darkens your room, helping to set the perfect ambience for a movie night or to secure a good night’s sleep.

Good to know

Highly recommended to attach to surfaces made of glass.

For window frames or surfaces not recommended for the adhesive, mount the brackets with screws using a drill or screwdriver. The brackets are prepared with small holes for this purpose.

To reposition or reuse on another window, remove adhesive-mounted brackets with plastic hand scraper. Replace with new brackets available cost-free at IKEA stores or contact IKEA Customer Services for help.

For door windows or windows taller than 51⅛", mount 2 pleated blinds to cover the whole surface.

The top rail of the 34" wide blind can be cut max. 11.8".

If you need to adapt the dimensions of the pleated blind to your window, cut the top/bottom rails and the rods with a metal saw. Cut the fabric with a safety knife.

The included tool makes it easier to get straight, accurate lines when adapting the size of your rail/rod/fabric. It also protects your fingers.

For a smooth, friction-free glide, apply a few drops of silicone spray lubricant to the lock mechanism in the brackets. Ensure the spray is suitable for plastic and metal.

Used for skylightDonaldGood value for the price but not without problems. One there were no written instructions, you have to watch the video which represents there are instructions. Two, a guide was missing in both packages that video shows is used to help secure blinds while cutting length. I had to improvise. Video shows cutting blinds with a razor blade which I think would be very difficult to get a straight cut. I used a hacksaw which was also used to cut metal track. Beware because of the blinds guide holes for the rods, one inch width shortening is only possible. So if the window glass is 20 1/2 wide you have to shorten width to 20inches. I also modified the mount because I didn't want to mount bracket directly to the glass so I screwed bracket to side walls. I envisioned the heat of the sun thru the skylight could possibly soften the double sided tape to fail. Video shows bracket screwed to window but there were no predrilled holes in the bracket. You need some common sence skills for the install4
Not Black outMalloryThis are not black out blinds, they are just blinds. I ended up using them anyway because the bedroom they are in faces the street. I still wanted the privacy. I ended up having to also put up black out curtains to get darkness. They look ok, but I can't imagine that over time if you want to open and close them that they will hold up. 4
Just okTaylorThese are just ok. They’re rather flimsy on the rod and do look a bit cheap but for the price and the speed of installation, they’re ok. The metal track is impossible to saw. I was disappointed I cut the shade before realizing that (as instructed) because now the shade is shorter than the track. I wouldn’t buy again but fine for the quick fix I needed. 2
Good productAnonymous reviewerLooks great inside the room... the metal rods compared to other tdbu blinds that have strings is a plus. The glass pane is held in place with tapered piece (in place of glazing) so I cut the pieces one N less than what was in the chart (cut at 7 instead of 8) and it worked very well to cover the entire pane. The exterior side doesn't look too good though - the glued pieces show, and so do the rods, and the countless oval holes for sizing.4
My Pros and Cons after installationDarriusPros: Price. Installation. adhesive mounts. (You can place them directly on the glass if you like.) Cons: View of the blinds from outside. (there are no photos of what these blinds look like from the back/outside.) Limited cutting width. Blackout blinds need to run the full width to be effective. Mounting points. (it would be nice if I could mount these from the top/bottom or sides) 2
Good price, would buy againAndreaNo problems. Easy installation. They are working great in our nursery5
Limited resizing options … buyer bewareAaronThese are adjustable in size but not as much as you would think. There are limited “holes” in the blind material which need to line up with the outside bars or else you cannot pass the hanging bars through. Basically you are limited to cutting these only to a couple preset sizes … in almost inch long increments. This didn’t fit my windows and I’m disappointed. Another improvement would be to change the rod mounting anchors to flexibly mount to the top and bottom instead of the back. I have vinyl windows and would rather not put holes in those to mount the blinds.2
