Disappointing, unless you're over 6'AlisonI loved the look of this umbrella, and that you could wash the cover was great! But, as a 5'6" person, it was impossible for me to open or even close it which just wasn't safe. Even my husband who is 6'4" found it challenging. If you are over 6 foot tall and strong, it would be OK. I am very disappointed that Ikea had such a rotten design, disappointed and quite frankly shocked as it's the only time we have ever had a problem with an Ikea product. :(1
Good valueZachA mostly sturdy patio umbrella that looks like it will last beyond a couple of seasons of constant use. I do think the wind gust vent could be a bit bigger but we shall see!4

We can't purchase replacements because of the European sizing; USA umbrella covers don't work. Sad we bought these since they're useless after the covers deteriorate! 1
