The fabric gives very good protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 25+, which means it blocks 96% of the ultraviolet radiation.
The umbrella pole is made of aluminum which means it won’t rust.
It’s easy to keep the canopy clean and fresh since you can easily remove and machine wash it.
It’s easy to open and close the umbrella by pulling the handle up or down. The umbrella automatically locks in the open position.

Could not handle even 1 season of useEnikoThis umbrella looks good and is large, but it broke in less than a month of use. I opened it and closed it about 10 times and it broke apart at the top where the canopy supports are. Very disappointing.

Important to put down in strong-ish winds even with 100lb base but will last years during the summer season. One question is why has IKEA discontinued the white color option… I need it !!!!
Don't Waste Your Money, i.e. There's a Reason These Are So CheapMarkThe slightest bit of wind send it toppling (in an approved stand!) and will break multiple arms off. It's held together with WIRE and the wire breaks. This is the second one I've bought in two months. Never again.
Disappointing, unless you're over 6'AlisonI loved the look of this umbrella, and that you could wash the cover was great! But, as a 5'6" person, it was impossible for me to open or even close it which just wasn't safe. Even my husband who is 6'4" found it challenging. If you are over 6 foot tall and strong, it would be OK. I am very disappointed that Ikea had such a rotten design, disappointed and quite frankly shocked as it's the only time we have ever had a problem with an Ikea product. :(
