Product details
With this daybed you quickly and easily create space for overnight guests. Just pull out the bed base and you get a double bed in no time.
The large drawers have space for extra duvets, pillows, linens or other things you need to store, but want to have close at hand.
The high frame creates a cozy cocoon feeling, and is lacquered so that it's easy to maintain.
With some soft, fluffy pillows as back support, you easily transform this day-bed into a comfortable sofa.
You will get all-over support and comfort with the resilient foam mattress.
Good to know
The daybed must be combined with two twin mattresses. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.

The daybed is not to be used as two single beds; it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Poor quality and structural issuesIslamI am very disappointed with this daybed. The overall quality is poor, and the mattress is not comfortable at all. Since the day we bought it, the wooden slats have been constantly breaking. We are tired of trying to fix them ; the structural design is very unreliable. I would not recommend this product.
Major issues with off-gassing and washing the mattress coversZoeI wanted to love this daybed, but two major issues have made it a disappointing purchase:
Unbearable Smell After 4 Months: Even after four months of assembly—and keeping the windows open regularly—there is still a strong, pungent chemical odor coming from the bed/mattresses. The off-gassing is taking far longer than the "few days" IKEA claims.
Shrunk/Broken Mattress Cover: I removed the mattress cover to wash it. Putting it back on the foam block was an absolute nightmare because the fabric shrank slightly. The foam has too much grip, and the cover requires so much stretching to zip back up that the fabric/zipper eventually snapped under the pressure.
Adorable!KristenPerfect for my little girls room for when she moved up to a big girl bed. Storage drawers are perfect for her toys and extra blankets. Easy to assemble and the green color is so fun!
Great design with cheap materialsBradWe got this day bed in February and finally needed to use it for our guests this past weekend. First night sleeping on it and 3 of the slats broke at knots in the wood. This is a weak spot in any board. I went to local Menards and bought 2 12' 1x3s and replaced the broken boards, and have an extra for when the next one breaks. I don't recommend against buying this bed because it is very comfortable, but I do recommend being prepared to replace slats.

Broke 10 minutes after assemblingGeorgeLooks great; however, it is extremely fragile when fully extended. I was crawling on my knees to fix the mattress (the ikea suggested one), and one of the planks snapped in half. I built this today :(
I might buy a plywood sheet to help distribute the load across the planks

The mattress leaves something to be desired if you use it pulled out as a king, so don't order them. Just order something different and use it. It feels solid, and is easy to pull out.
