The sturdy solid pine frame has natural variations in grain, color and texture, giving every piece a unique look. And it has been stained and lacquered making it more durable and easy to care for.
You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

Nice until it brokeSaraThis is a very nice looking bed frame but it has some structural flaws. It started to come apart about 3 years after we bought it and finally broke all the way after about 7. Very disappointing.
Amazing, Lasted 10 YearsAmyI absolutely love this bed. I’ve had this bed frame for 10 years, and it’s still going strong! It never actually broke, but one small piece would occasionally slide off — nothing major, I just had to push it back in. That only happened because I move my bed around a lot.
The bottom support did crack a bit once, but that was totally my fault (I had like seven people sitting on it at once, LOL). I fixed it easily by just adjusting my mattress, and it’s been fine ever since.
It’s super sturdy, doesn’t creak, easy to assemble, and still looks so nice and simple even after all these years. It’s also very versatile — it fits well with different room setups and decor styles.
Funny enough, I was at ikea and while browsing through IKEA, my eyes were instantly drawn to this design again. It took me a second to realize it was the same bed I already have! That’s how you know I really love it. I’d definitely buy it again.
Poor DesignAlexWe've had the Hemmes for years but have had to salvage it multiple times. It is not designed for years of use it calls apart from just getting in and out of it.
Hemnes bedframe fullAltheai like this bed frame, its quite sturdy. I love the Hemnes collection. , i have the chest of drawer, dresser., the armoire -which you have since discontinued. Hopefully you will have it back.
Lasted 2 yearsChristinaHeadboard broke where supports attached and only got 2 years out of this. I guess you get what you pay for.
Footboard brokeAnnThe footboard broke, collapsing the bed and making it unusable after only a year of use and well under the 600 pound weight limit.
King Size breaks at headboard twiceCarolIn less than 5 yrs broke twice at connection between side board and headboard. Wood cracked and screw bent and hole where screw goes in has been eaten away. Warranty is only good for 6 mths, so yay me! I hate throwing money away so I will have to order spare parts (free, yay again), and do some DIY hacking to fix it. Can't WAIT!!!

Great frame HeatherMy husband and I love our new bed frame! We really appreciate how we can set the box spring to be at different heights. We always wanted a higher bed than we had before, and this allows us to have high or as low as we wanted it to be. It looks fabulous in our bedroom and the matching nightstands really bring at all together.
DONT GETMelMe and my husband got the queen frame and none of the pieces were fitting together properly, constantly made cracking noises when being put together! We threw it away!!! NOT WORTH THE COST
Nice looking but… JaimeI love the way it looks. It’s very difficult to make up. My biggest issue is how much it pops and creeks. I have the same bed in a full size and it doesn’t make a sound. This king size one though makes all kind of noise. Every time my spouse turns or moves the noise wakes me up. I can hear when he moves in it from the living room. Really disappointed in the quality of this one vs the full size one we have.

Great looking bed frameKrystleI have had my eye on this bed frame for a while now. Its durable and fits nicely with my other HEMNES pieces in my bedroom. Because its wood, my only complaint is that it creaks and cracks frequently but I'm hoping overtime that works itself out. Very easy to put together, took maybe 35-45 mins.

Great bed frameJenniferWe purchased this bed frame in 2011 and we will are using it in 2025. In fact, we just purchased a king size one. This bed has been through a lot and it’s held up VERY WELL. we love the Hemnes series as we have 2 bedrooms outfitted in it. I would recommend this bed to everyone.
Great product ClareAlthough we had had some questions because of some poor reviews in the past, we’ve been very happy with this bedframe. I think maybe people struggle with how to put it together and that’s the source of some of the poor reviews .But we are IKEA furniture assembly pros at by this point, we’ve put so many things together! Very happy with this bed and the resulting makeover of our bedroom.
