Damaged after 3.5 yearsLynneThis was our daughter's first big girl bed. After 3.5 years of daily use by a petite child, the headboard and footboard are cracked and separating on one side. It is not impacting it's stability yet, but is very disappointing. I normally have no problem assembling the Hemnes line, but I had a terrible time putting this together. None of the parts seemed to align just right. The overall function of the bed with storage drawers underneath has been great. However, the overall quality over time is far less than I expected from the Hemnes line.
DefectsJennaDefects in almost every piece including cracks and gouges. The wooden slats that hold the boxspring were so warped that we had to add carboard and towels underneath. So annoying but we don't have the time and energy to return it.
Another great purchaseRebeccaThis bed is perfect for our elementary-aged daughter. It so sweetly completes her room. We've had the bed for about 2 years now and it has held up very well. No complaints. Would definitely purchase again (in fact we're planning to once her little sister outgrows the crib).
Easy to assemble and attractive ElisabethThis is our third Hemnes bed and we like the design and by adding a thick comfortable mattress you have a perfect , modern bed.
Just okayBeckyI was pretty disappointed with this piece, the quality is definitely not on par with some of the other things I have from the Hemnes line. There were huge cracks in the frame in several different places, and one of the main headboard posts was obviously curved and warped. One pro and one of the main reasons I ultimately chose this bed, is that I have never had a problem with IKEA pieces smelling of chemicals. My 4 year old son is using this bed and it was really important to me for that not to be a concern. The Lonset frame was actually better than expected, I didn’t find it hard to put together at all and so far there isn’t any squeaking. Overall, just wish the pieces were of better quality since we’ll be using this bed for years to come.
DO NOT BUY this bedArturoBed overall is fine, but the bed slats are super noisy. We thought they would get better with time but after a couple months they're still very loud. I contacted support to return just the slats but they only offer in store returns (I don't leave close to any Ikea) or scheduled pickup, which costs more than the slats. I'm very disappointed of such a miss from Ikea
Headboard. LaquishaI bought this bed for my sons and when I went to put them together the headboard was cracked. Called IKea to put a claim in and was told I would have to bring the bed to the store. Well I don’t live near an IKea store. I had the items shipped to my home. It was such an inconvenience.

No supportsBrendaThe bed frame is nice but there were NO supports included. Anyone over 10 pounds would make the mattress fall right through to the floor. Not safe. It states in the description that there are supports. FALSE! We had to buy wood and cut pieces to make our own supports to make the bed safe and supported.

Good frame, terrible slatsJoyThe bed is sturdy and cute, and we love it, but the slats are bowed in the middle, making it easier for our toddler to roll out of bed. Horrible design, and we'll have to look for new slats. Other than that we haven't had a problem.
