Beautiful DisappointmentMelanieI absolutely love the look of this combination, it fits the space beautifully. However, I’m very disappointed with the lack of quality control on the sideboard. It arrived with two large, clearly visible nicks on the top board front center that had been poorly painted over. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the damage right away, and by the time I did, I had already glued and assembled the shell. I was offered a replacement part, which was not an option at that point, though I appreciate the offer of a full replacement, it isn’t a realistic solution for me. I live over 40 minutes away, and I would have to hire someone to transport the new sideboard roundtrip. The $60 discount offered feels inadequate considering I spent $1,000 on this piece, plus taxes and additional delivery fees.
Having grown up in Europe, I’ve been a loyal IKEA shopper since the 1980s, this experience has left me deeply disappointed. Sadly, I don’t see myself purchasing another furniture piece from IKEA after this.
This piece is beautiful!HeatherI had been searching for months for a cabinet I could use for my grandmother’s china as well as extra storage in my dining room. The HAVSTA is perfect!!! I love that the shelves inside the upper cabinet are glass and adjustable. The bottom pieces have so much space for storage. And it really wasn’t too difficult to put together. I highly recommend it.
Everything I hoped forCathyThis is a lovely solid wood product that was easily put together. It’s now in my living room as a tv wall unit. I built a shelf over the buffet and enclosed it. Then put the crown molding from the living room on it so it looks like it’s always been there.
