Not Entirely What I ExpectedMichaelI have (2) of the 24" wide Havsta shelves and love them: the upper and lower portions are all one piece, there are (4) adjustable shelves, and they're slim so they work well with books.
That size is no longer available so I decided to get this 32" wide version for more shelf space. Unfortunately, the upper and lower portion are built independent of each other, and there are only (2) screws through a light gauge bracket holding them together. If you're not careful moving the assembled shelf the top half can easily tip over and fall off. The instructions for the lower half tell you to anchor it to the wall to prevent tipping, but when attaching the top half you need to undo that work to pull it away from the wall to make the connections. The bottom "shelf" of the upper portion also sits directly on the bottom cabinet, which creates a "tiered" effect and makes that shelf less functional.
Please start making these all one piece again.3

Wanted to loveSarahI was so excited to get these bookcases for our office and I had high hopes for them to be of the same high quality that we are accustomed to with our other pieces of ikea furniture. however, sadly on this item the paint is so thin that all of the dark spots on the wood underneath are clearly seen giving the cabinet an almost polka dotted look. Ugh and the closest IKEA to us is over an hour away so I have no idea what I’m going to do to remedy the issue now. 2
