Love it PaolaI love this pendant I bought it twice for my bedroom and living room. The price is reasonable and if you buy the color changing bulb it’s a vibe!
Too small for internal frameNoraThe internal structure piece is too long for the paper sphere. It is not possible to prevent the frame from severely bowing/bending inside and it keeps popping out and tearing the paper when it does so. The frame should be able to be fully straight while inside the paper shade.
Love this Anonymous reviewerSuper insanely affordable paper light! I got it for my living room and it’s perfect in there! Easy to install
Great lamp shade!ViliamThe lamp shade is great! The lamp looks nice and fits well in my room. It gives the room a cozy soft glow. Paired with the Hemma lamp cord, creates a perfect match for my room.
(The metal support bows at first but the lamp shade stretches out over time to full size.)
It’s actually greatRalfI paid over twice as much for a similar but inferior shade from a big online retailer. As another reviewer stated, the internal metal piece stays bent. That’s a good thing. It acts like a spring and keeps the whole shade in tension. In a few days the shade gets nicely spherical.
A great bargain for the price, needs clearer instructions for internal wireAlexanderThis lamp shade is a great bargain for how much it costs. It looks gorgeous and the size is hard to find elsewhere.
Reading other reviews here, it seems that people don’t realize it’s okay that the internal wire is bent when you first put it in. The paper needs time to stretch out so put the wire in bent and over time it will stretch the paper out and be straight.
It’s been about 2-3 weeks and the wire inside is almost straight now.
I wish ikea would put this in the instructions so customers don’t rip the paper trying to get it straight right off the bat.
Internal Support Wire Too LongMiguelThe lamp shade is fine, but the internal support structure that is supposed to keep the lamp expanded is not designed to fit the dimensions of the lamp shade, it will bend if you try to fit it. Seems like a design or production flaw.
Nice but..ZoeThe wire bends too much, and I accidentally tore the first lamp I bought while trying to straighten the bar (lights like this usually have internal support from a metal bar). I purchased a second one, but the paper material looks poorly made. Some parts of the paper are ripped and appear to have been glued together during production.
The Worst.JessicaThe wire sticks out 4 inches. It must be bent to fit which looks ridiculous. The wire isn't sturdy and most likely won't last long. Better to spend the extra $ for the HAY brand.
nice lamp shade but…Brisathe lamp shade is nice but the metal part that is meant to keep the shape of the lamp is too big and bends inside the lamp and according to the instructions it should be straight. this caused a tear in the lamp shade as it came undone…
Eh, it’s alrightJennyThe lamp is gorgeous but the middle support doesn’t seem strong enough to hold the rice paper of the lantern taught. Because it is thin wire, it bows. I ripped the rice paper near the top and bottom trying to get it to hold.
