Faulty fabricIdoBought this rug a few months back. It's exactly what we wanted design wise but other than that it leaves a horrible mess. Every time people stand on the fabric starts to form sort of fur balls. We thought it was a defect so got it replaced but the new one is exactly the same. Gave it time to break in and the fur balls keep forming and scattering. Very annoying. 1
StunningEmilyWent to the store to see it in person before purchasing, but there wasn’t a display model so I took a chance and purchased anyway. So happy I did! Gorgeous colors, quality weave, plush pile without being shaggy. Nicest Ikea rug I’ve ever seen. Does show lint due to being a dark color, but that’s a lifestyle choice. 5

Material

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibers from scattering.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"The different blue hues of the ocean inspired my design for GNETGRÄS rug. The blue color is deeper in the middle and gradually fades to lighter tones towards the sides. The detail with the stepped corner edges also gives the abstract pattern a playful expression that catches the eye. I hope you find a place for this rug in your home. Maybe in the middle of the living room so you can enjoy the wonderfully thick pile under your feet every day?"
