Great Plates!JessicaThese plates, and really the whole set, are great! They look beautiful on the table. The series includes a lot of pieces that accommodate many different types of dining situations, from casual to more formal, and for many types of foods. They’re clearly are meant to look like they’re hand thrown. They have some heft to them, but the glaze is a little too consistent so that gives them away. Nevertheless, I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them and I really enjoy the blue color. I’ve read that people think they chip easily. That’s not been my experience at all. We use them everyday, they pile up in the sink at times, they go in the microwave, the dishwasher, and the oven, and they’re all still pristine. Obviously don’t treat them like they’re melamine or something similar, but otherwise you should be fine. For comparison, they’re stronger than everyday porcelain.5

I am going back for more! they are the perfect size and hold all your food from pouring over the side. The kids love to use them because they are easy to clean and make it a little easier to carry when the food is hot

"GLADELIG tableware is made with reactive glaze, which gives the surface a livelier, handcrafted expression. We also put a lot of work into finding the right proportions and curves to make the shapes feel harmonious. The idea is that the plates will suit many different dishes and occasions – from TV dinners to weekend meals. One favorite is the medium-sized plate with slightly higher edges which we think combines tradition and contemporary design in a nice way."
