Solid and beautifulDawnOnce we learned about Ikea's rigorous standards for safety in dishware and learned how much lead was in a lot of other dishware brands, we knew we needed to switch. We bought these dishes in blue and they're beautiful, with natural variation within the set (like you'd see if they were handcrafted). The bowls are smaller than we thought but we'll use that to shrink our all-too-large American-sized portions. The dishes are sturdy and, unlike our previous dish sets, they don't get so warm in the microwave that you need oven mitts to take the plate out.
All in all, we highly recommend these dishes! We haven't found anything negative about them yet.
Even prettier in person. KimberlyOrdered a set a couple of weeks ago and decided quickly to order another set. These are so pretty. Perfect sized and have a good weight to them without being overly heavy. I love them!
Can’t Go WrongKarenThese dishes are a great buy for your money. I bought two sets to make sure I had plenty of dishes. I like that they did not include the cups. This allowed for a couple extra dishes added to the set.
More fragile than the $1 oftast platesJessicaI'm so disappointed in these dishes. After only two months so many have chips. We are gentle with these and have a normal dishwasher and yet every time we pull them out of the dishwasher there is a new one with a chip. I bought two sets to replace all of my dinnerware. What a mistake. I do not recommend.

Durable and attractiveJohnMaybe I just got lucky, but after having my blue Gladelig set, I have yet to see any chips or any signs of wear. They look just as good today as they did when I bought them over a year ago. They're great for daily use but can also fit in a more elegant setting. Highly recommended.

Great for daily useJoanneI use these for daily use. You can microwave then without the ware getting hot. The only noted issue is that the dinner plates are smaller than expected as are the bowl. No issue for me but something to consider.

Everyday elegance - perfect proporationsTeresaI’d admired these dishes for ages but didn’t want a set for 8—so I passed. Then came the 6-place setting (as well as individual pieces), and I’m so glad I took a second look. The Gladelig (Gray) set, besides being very pretty, is ideal for one or two people, with slightly smaller plates that feel just right.
The dual bowl sizes (5.5" and 4.5") are a total win, and the small rectangular plates? Perfect for sandwiches and snacks. Stylish, practical, and beautifully minimalist—I’m already planning to add the tumblers and espresso cups next!
My only complaint? I haven't figured out how to display them on my open shelf. 😁
Beautiful setTeresaI am removing any plastic from my kitchen so replaced my dishes with this set. They are very beautiful. The dinner plate seems a bit small but will work. They are a pleasure to use. I just got them so we'll see how they hold up.
