Functionally uselessLaurencePlease do not purchase this scale. I did, and having worked in a bakery should have known better. Auto-off timer is less than the time it takes to fill a cup with water, which can clear the current weight reading in the middle of weighing ingredients. Often does not register objects placed on it, and while it has a reading to the gram it in no way has that accuracy. Determining accurate weights is better done with a divining rod.
Poor innacurate design, completely unusableConor1. The power button on the top means when you set an item on top, it turns off, resetting your tare weight
2. If you don't have the item perfectly centered, the measurement can change drastically.
3. It's not even accurate at the center. 200ml of water = 200g but this scale reads 120g.
Faulty product EricaScale does not work. Shows “Lo” even when weighing. Changed batteries multiple times, purchased brand new battery and different brand and still shows Lo. Called customer service and they want to charge to replace or return. I live 4 hours away from IKEA.

At first the 20-sec power-off seemed challenging because it happened between water pours, but I learned that by lifting the item being weighed, just for a second, I could get the display to come back on and it showed the current weight, it didn't tare out to zero. No problem! Love the sleek minimalist design, and this is the tradeoff for it. If I really needed more features I would have bought a fancier scale.

Difficult to readRandolphThe display does not clearly show what the number of pounds is. It shows the number of ounces followed by "lb and oz". But the pounds are not the number before it. That is displayed with a number that is a different screen section.

Material
What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
