Beautiful and perfect… until it wasn’t…SierraI loved this colander when I first got it. I was ready to give it 5 stars for mastering style and function. It would look great on a shelf!
But sadly, the excitement didn’t last. Even though it’s advertised as dishwasher safe, that wasn’t my experience at all. Over time, it started to rust — and eventually, the entire bottom rusted through and broke off completely.
Such a shame, because it truly had five-star looks. If only the durability matched the design! If you’re only using it for decor or handwashing it and drying it thoroughly, maybe it’ll hold up. Otherwise, it might not be worth the price.

Gemak colanderEdwardI like the solid base rather than a three legged base. Those have rivets and get loose over time and make the colander wobble. The coating makes for easy cleaning too. The only thing I wish is for IKEA to distribute them in different colors. It only comes in off white.
