Good purchase TeresaEasy instructions, put together fast. Nice frame, seems durable.
Fyresdal daybed very strong, style is nice JeanetteVery strong day bed. The only thing I don’t like about it is were the bars are, when you have pillows on it, it moves through the bars. I feel they should have been a
Horizontal , so the throw pillows wouldn’t go through the spaces.
But all in all its design That you can pull out to any length and can make the bed any size. Also putting this together would have been easier if all the pieces were numbered or had stickers on them, we could have put it together more faster then what we had.
Best Expandable DayBedLuteceI purchased this on sale right before Thanksgiving and it arrived just in time for my guests. It truly is a king size bed when pulled out and mattresses turned long ways. It’s perfect for my office/ guest bedroom situation!
It's perfect for my needsTracyI replaced a queen-size bed with the Fyresdal daybed (and Meistervik foam mattresses) so I could have more floor space in our guest room. Assembly was pretty straightforward and I found it quite comfortable for napping after the mattresses stretched themselves out.
The family member who tested the single layer mattress slept on it pulled out and said it was okay but not as comfortable as with the two mattresses stacked. I had planned on ordering a king-size mattress pad, anyway, to minimize the divide between mattress when pulled out (and so the back could be used as a headboard). Who wants to be the one stuck on the side that has the frame back and sides?
I purchased a 2" down-alternative mattress pad that can be stuffed into a cloth bag for storage (along with a king sheet to better hold everything together). Family member was pleased with sleeping accommodations on their next visit.
I (and my guests) would recommend this daybed.
Great product!DebbieThis product is very well made and also priced very well. It looks great in our guest room and I like that it can accommodate family in a king sized bed and return to a daybed afterwards. It’s exactly what I have been searching for and exceeded my expectations.
perfect for a small spaceMariaI bought this daybed for my daughter who lives in a small apartment where the office and the guest room are one and the same. It's the perfect solution. The daybed is sturdy and well made and it was a breeze to put together.
It works great!LoriSo far the bed works great, its in the second bedroom for guests, so not used as much as a regular bed
Guest Room BedLynnTwo separate packages that made assembly sooo easy. 2 people is helpful. Sturdy. Attractive. The handles hold the single mattress on perfectly, BUT when the bed is in full, open position, the pull-out section is only 35.5"w, so a standard twin mattress is too wide and hangs over the handles, used to pull it out, about 2-3". Makes it wonky on the outer edge of the mattress. Not a deal breaker for me, but something to be aware of.
Not worth the effortShruthiWe loved this daybed and its versatility until we had to move. It did not fit in the door of the room of our new home in its assembled state. Even removing the room door would not have solved this issue. So, we had to disassemble almost the whole thing to get it through the door and reassemble it. That would have been fine if the reassembly was easy. The metal slats fall off once you take the frame apart and to put them back on you also have to pull out the small plastic connectors that go in the frame and hold the slats in place. Those little plastic connectors are stuck in there super tight and we had to use a flat head screw to pull them out. This caused some of the black paint on the frame to chip. After two hours of struggle to dissassemble and reassemble this daybed I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who might move often.
Mattress does not Fit.DanaI’m surprised to not see any reviews about the mattress fit. I originally purchased my own mattress’ for this product and assumed they didn’t fit because of the ones that I bought. I decided to buy the Minnesund mattress’ from Ikea thinking they would fit and they DO NOT. I have to place them vertically which is more work than I was looking for if I’m buying this type of bed. I’m sure it’s too late because I already assembled the frame but if I could return this bed I would!
BedsofaClaudiaI love this product for small place.
Great dealHeidiThis was a great deal. It’s well constructed and I was able to build it alone (67 female) fits perfect for guests. Love the expandable nature.
Daybed upgradeJillUpdated my office with additional seating and potential overnight guest space. I love how classic and clean the day bed looks!
My noteGustavoproduct has poor quality. misaligned and does not close completely
Easy to assemble, worked greatEmilyEasy to assemble, worked great for my friend who is over 6’ and 200lbs
Solid guest bedJuliaGot this as a guest bed for my office. Frame was pretty simple to assemble. I was able to do it by myself. I did not order mattresses from ikea because I wanted something more substantial. I got 2 - 6” mattresses and when folded up it’s a comfortable sitting height, not too tall.
Simple look, compact and functional.VivekanandanFits my flex guest space, exactly what I was looking for.
ComfortableAmandaWe've had this bed for 8 months and it's perfect. It was surprisingly easy to assemble. I assembled it myself without my husband's help. We bought a mattress to go along with it and the set works perfectly for my 11 year old.
