This Couch Has A 2 Year MaxSheryl FeleciaWe purchased this in February 2024 and, although it’s a great couch, you have to know it works until it doesn’t. There are lots of merits to this couch from functionality to style. Just be prepared for the financial investment to only last you about two years. The frame on our couch is broken - and there are no replacement parts, return policy wraps 365 days after purchase, and nobody wants to buy a broken couch from the buy back section. To say the least, this is one of the more disappointing IKEA experiences I’ve had.1
Pull-out section isn't attached, comes loose constantlyCherylWe've had this couch for about 8 years, and it's been mostly fine. The pull-out section only hooks to the main couch, and the construction isn't solid enough to hold its shape consistently, so the rolling section comes loose if you shift while you're lounging or sleeping on it. The back isn't high enough to be comfortable, so we've bought all kinds of high-backed bolsters to try to make it feel nicer, but without something solid behind them, it's no use. The upholstery stains easily and doesn't come out, and the foam sags. But it did serve its function for 8 years, and it deserves credit for that.3
Very firmAngelaPros: its the most unexpensive and pretty decent looking sofa! Cons: Its extremely firm. Firm to sit on but even worse sleeping on it. I wake up with back pain every single time. I would recommend it for a living room only, do not buy it if you planning to sleep on it.4

Fantastic CouchBillyLove this couch so much. Was a little difficult to take apart and put back together after I moved. Unfortunately, that meant when I moved it into my parents' house, my mom said "We're never moving it again, it's mine now but I'll pay for you to get a new couch". Which means I'll probably buy another copy of this couch it was that great5
Comfy sleeper sofaPhoebeI bought this for a small apartment and it’s been ideal. Very comfy, very sturdy and resilient to a dog, and good sleeper as well.5
Thinking of buying another!ErinI bought this couch when it first came out in 2016, and it has been through 9 moves since then all over the country. The cushions still have their shape, the hardware all still works great, still sleeps well - it’s honestly been an awesome couch. It’s seen a lot of partying days with people crashing on it, and been used for my husband and I’s surgery recoveries as well. I honestly don’t know how it’s still in such good shape. I just wish the pillow covers were washable! That’s the only reason I want another - is just to start fresh now that we are NOT moving again anytime soon finally :) I will say the price has gone up. When I bought it originally it was $600. Hope the quality hasn’t changed in the recent years and that I’ll be happy with purchasing a second one. 5
Pros and cons.AngelaPros: I like the sofa, I appreciate the spacious storage, and it’s the most comfortable option for sleeping among all the IKEA sleeper sofas I’ve tried. Cons: There is a HUGE difference between the color shown in the pictures and the color in real life. Ive ordered the “faringe light gray” color version, but as you can see in the photo, the fabric is much darker than it appears online.4
it falls apart easily, didn't last for even an yearSainyamIt wasn't a great experience getting this sofa, have had multiple furniture but I wouldn't buy this one again. The cloth has started to pilling and sofa has started to sag is less than a year. The Pillow has also malformed.2

Can't recommendElleThe sleeper sofa doesn't hold up. After less than three years of low to moderate use, the frame is coming apart and you can feel the springs when you're sitting. They pop and cave in. It still looks okay and the bed is actually much better than most pull out sofas but as an actual sofa, it's not practical and this is why we bought it, for more practical use, and let's face it, it's sort of generic looking with all of it's right angles. Just can't recommend for anything, other than a basement with use more as a bed than a sofa to sit on.2
Was nice but now not PieterAfter only a few months our lovely couch is now sagging and uncomfortable to sit on, to the extent we sit on the floor on pillows or lie on the edges of the couch. Ikea really needs some better quality. I don’t recommend this one. 2
Lasted 10 years and still going!LexI bought this Ikea couch ten years ago before I knew Ikea Family existed. This couch has stood the test of time much better than I could have hoped. Over the past 10 years it has survived being rebuilt twice to switch the placement of the storage section, being slept on for six months by a family member, being slept on for over a year with the head of the couch raised to alleviate reflux (maybe don't do this - the couch made angry noises after 6 months. Get a foam wedge instead), and being sat on almost every night. The fact that it survived all of that is amazing! I recommend periodically checking if the sides of the couch (head and foot when slept on) are still flush with the body of the couch. They are prone to separating a little. Easily solved by pushing the ends back towards the body. The cushions of the main seating area sagged a little near the end of the 10 years, which is reasonable with constant use. Using a foam wedge or mattress topper helps. Thanks for 10+ years, Ikea!5

Functional but nonlasting constructionAlexanderI love how the couch becomes a futon, perfect for when me and my wife transition from watching TV while eating on the coffee table, to extended bed mode for our theater. The backrest is however losing it's staples and falling apart. Will see if that cab be repaired under warranty.3
The Backrest Broke After A Few MonthsEduardoThe backrest broke after just a few months and IKEA wouldn't cover it in warranty and they wouldn't let me buy the replacement part so I could replace it myself. Terrible product and terrible service. 1
Great idea, but quickly sags and loses supportChristianI've owned two of these. Kept them in my office. First time I noticed sagging, and I that's with rare usage. I eventually sold it due to moving. I chalked that up to a defective one, and wound up buying another a few years later for my basement home office. This one was used for occasional video game playing and naps, and I quickly discovered that the support was in general, lacking, and this one too, also sagged. Also this one began to slowly shed parts. I would find random hardware pieces coming away. Love the idea of this -- like being able to store bedding and the quick conversion to a temporary bed. But it just doesn't last. I wound up throwing out the second one after about 1.5 years of usage.2
Perfect sofa/sleeper for a cabinHaejungThis couch can be pulled out as a fullsize sleeper bed. The pullout is very easy and very functional. You can also change the direction of the pullover sofa. The size is perfect for a small space and having an extra bed is fantastic for a small cabin. The firmness is very good for couch/bed too. We are really happy with it.5
Side section angles awayAkshayJust got this couch a few months ago but already running into issues. The side pillar starts to angle out which means the pull out bed section doesn't lock when it's pulled out. Very disappointing to see such a design flaw.2
