good idea, but does not stay togetherpriscilla v.something about the design of this chair makes it so that the side splays out and the bed pullout part will spontaneously slip out while you are lying on it. Our poor little dog also fell into the crack once because the pull out bed part slipped away. It's very inconvenient and we constantly need to readjust it to make sure people are not slipping off when that pull out part becomes disconnected. Probably needs more brackets to hold the chair together towards the floor so it doesn't splay apart and fall apart when weight is put on it. Wish we could return it since this happened almost immediately since purchasing but we've been so busy. attempted duck taping it to hold it together, but the tape wear off and it starts slipping again.3

falling apartMary T.This sectional is famous. An old roommate owned one years ago and I was so excited to buy one for myself. However, it seems that the design has gone downhill. The leg opposite of the chaise doesn't have enough screws keeping it in place so it slides out at the bottom at an angle. Because it slides out at the bottom, the pop up structure doesn't stay hooked into place and slides out. Even when successfully locked in place, the pop up structure is too far away from the rest of the sofa. This is not comfortable to sleep on. The wood pokes through the cushions. None of these issues were present in the one from 2016 that my old roommate owned. I will have to come up with a solution to fix it-- maybe Lbrackets-- because dissembling it and returning it to IKEA would be a MAJOR pain. When assembling it, my advice is to go ahead and add extra braces to keep the short end (opposite the chaise) in place and at a right angle to the seat.2
Cool concept but hard as a rockAndrea T.Wife and I have had this couch for a little over a year now. And it has come in handy plenty of times but let me just say--you get what you pay for. The cushions provide little to no comfort and the woven material of the couch is super scratchy on skin. This is a great couch for college kids who need a quick fix. BUT the bottom pull-out part WILL come undone in the middle of the night if you toss and turn. And you will definitely fall on the floor or at the very least be very annoyed. The only manageably comfortable part of this couch is the L-shaped part but in all honesty, you could feel the hard wooden planks holding the whole thing together. If you're in a pinch and want to use this for a rental property or a bed for your least-liked friend... this is for you.3
Great Couch For PriceRavenLove this couch! It comes in three separate boxes, which are crazy big. I have a pretty big suv and it was still not enough room so I had it delivered. One package came broken and they sent us a new one and took away the broken piece. Easy enough assembly. The pullout bed is comfy but we still put down a foam topper just for an extra layer of comfort. Also if you have kids that jump on furniture it’s not a very high couch so if they fall ( mine have multiple times already) it’s a pretty low fall.5
Sleeper SofaPATI love it’s style and functionality. It’s exactly what I was looking for, for awhile. Oh, and the price is right! Peace,5

It"s the perfect sofa forBethIt's the perfect sofa for our basement playroom for our 2, 4 and 6 year old grandsons!! Got the blue color and it is beautiful!!5
Perfect sectional for me!ValerieLove the size for smaller living rooms and the fact that it’s a sleeper with storage is a bonus! It’s comfortable and It’s perfect for me being of short stature. Every time I’m on it it makes me want to fall asleep. Lol. Though, I’m not sure how it would hold up with heavier set people? My only gripe is that I wish Ikea sold a waterproof cover for this model being that I still have small children and don’t want to risk any accidents on the sofa. And I wish it came in Pink!5
UncomfortableSYDNIESuper uncomfortable couch. It looks and feels cheap.3

What is coated fabric?

If you want a leather feel and an easy-care surface, coated fabric is a durable alternative – often at a lower price. We use fabric made of recycled polyester and have begun a transition from fossil-based to renewable material in the coating. Dimethylformamide (DMF) is a solvent that’s common in production, but since 2016 we’re instead using a water-based solvent. These are three important steps we’ve taken to make coated fabric a more environmentally sustainable material.
