WILL break eventually (soon) with little useKeraSlats will eventually break. So if you want a temporary and un-sustainable option , this is it! 1
not a good decision to buyAnnThis bed is a nightmare to assemble - absolute nightmare! And with all the moving parts - I am not sure how it is going to serve the purpose. Most rails are not screwed in and little pins that are supposed to hold them in place are super fragile, the drawers are very loose and not sure how they will hold anything. The color is too dark - pretty much black - which does not make it a good choice for kid's room. The way rails are positioned when you open the bed is uneven and unless you have a really thick mattress with coils or memory foam, you can feel the uneven surface and it is most uncomfortable to sleep on. We bought two of these in hop[e that it would be a good bad - one that is still in box, is going back to the store for return and I wish i could take the other one too but disassembling it will be too hard and not worth it! 1
Extremely poor instructionsRobinWe have put together a dozen Ikea furniture pieces and never have we had as an awful experience as this one. The product has changed, but the instructions haven't. There are fewer slats than the instructions say there are, so we were always short pieces and hardware according to the instructions and had to just assume everything would work out, which it did. The instruction book was blank where there should have been half a dozen steps and we had to look it up online (where it still lists the incorrect number of slats). By far the worst were the instructions for the 4 pieces that hold the drawers. It looks like you need to build two with holes facing inward, and two with holes facing outward - but it isn't obvious that the two peg holes at each end are drilled at different distances apart and all of those have to match. All of this made the assembly process take much longer than it should have. The final product seems mostly fine but not sure it's worth the hassle. 2
