good value and durableTrishaI have had this bed for about 8 years as a guest bed. It isn't slept on regularly but probably gets about 80 nights a year, so the equivalent of about 2 years of daily use. Zero issues. It even got moved to a new place fully assembled!
Only quibble is that the drawers and bed are harder to pull out on the carpet at my new place, but that's not a flaw in the bed. Definitely recommend for small spaces.5
PerfectBrandiLove the look and it works great 5

Love this bed for my 14 yo grandsonLoriMy grandson loves this bed cause he can use it as a twin but also has the option to easily open it up to a double size. He has a futon couch in his room now so that works perfectly currently. It is sturdy and a little work to put together by myself but overall everyone is very satisfied with the purchase.5
Adequate. MattWe have a small guest room, this is a perfect fit in both style and function. High quality, though small. 5
Solid KamranGreat solid bed with lots of storage.. easy to put together 5
I hate this bedAnonymous reviewerIt’s really difficult to make the bed because of the corner headboard design. Also one of the drawers has never opened smoothly and is really difficult to open. Just not worth the price. 2
Questioned if the bed would break - SPOILER ALERT: it broke less than 2-months of non-daily use.Anonymous reviewerBought this daybed on August 31st as a guest bed, so it doesn't get daily use. It broke on October 25th - we've already tossed our receipt by then, so customer support couldn't do anything to help in this instance.
The individual wooden slats were questionable and felt as though they would eventually break. What surprised me was that it wasn't even the slats that gave out; it was the metal supporting bar that fell through. The screws connecting the support bar disconnected itself from the bed's wooden footboard panel, causing us to crash onto the floor.
I loved the concept of the product, space saving twin-sized bed that can transform into nearly a king bed; the quality of this product just doesn't add up.
I'd highly recommend not getting this product, for the safety of you, your kids, or your guests.1
Good solutionAnnieThis was a great solution for our guest room. My only critique is that as nice as the storage drawers are, I'd rather the secondary mattress would store under the bed when not in use.
Otherwise, this is top-notch. Good quality materials, easy operation of the "trundle". It's a very clever design and we're happy with it.4
Slats break easilyCharlesThe slats are made of 2 pieces of wood and break in the middle easily. Why on Earth would you not make them one piece of wood?1
Poor design, unlike ikea. SarahThe wooden supports for the mattress alternate so that when you slide in the trundle bed to store it, the wooden slats of the trundle are supposed to slip in those of the fixed portion of the bed and interdigitate. Instead they slide just a bit too far out such that the lip of the slats pop out, catch against the other set. You then have to break your back or your ankles to try to rearrange the slats that are now very much out of reach. It's infuriating.
Only upside is that this is a king size when pulled out and your kids will get to learn colorful language from you!
The mattress when stacked two high is just a bit too high to be functional.
Poor form IKEA

Broken while setting upChristinaI purchased this bed three years ago for my son. While setting it up one of the drawer rails was bent, but since this was during covid I was unable to exchange anything. We went ahead and set it up, but the drawer never would go in correctly. After a year one of the bed slats broke right where they are pieced together. Once we hit the third year two more slats broke in the same area causing the metal rail to bend. I am currently taking the bed down and having to replace it for my son since I am worried more pieces will break soon.1

Overall great bed frame. SetMikeOverall great bed frame. Set this up in a small guest room. Really like the look and it compliments the room really well. Doesn’t sit too high, although I wish it dis. But not a deal breaker by any means. Assembly is as expected for an IKEA product. Would recommend setting aside a couple of hours and make sure you have enough space as the bed frame comes in 3 boxes. Yup that’s right three large boxes. You can position the headboard on either side which is great. Just make sure to follow the directions for your desired look. The additional storage is spacious a welcomed addition. Although wouldn’t recommend anything to heavy in it. More designed for pillows, sheets etc. The bed frame does extend out. It’s a nice option (although probably won’t use it). Also didn’t really buy it because of it. The recommended set up would be (2) 5 inch mattresses for a total of 10 inch mattress height. Meaning If i were to extend it out, my guests would be sleeping on a very thin mattress and feel the wooden slats. So just sticking to (1) 10 inch mattress. By doing so the bed would have more support. Overall highly recommend this bed frame.5
i purchased my first FlekkeBarbarai purchased my first Flekke daybed more than 2 years ago I liked it so much that when it was time to purchase an additional bed, I bought another Flekke daybed. Why, the bed is sturdy the mattress is comfortable. and it has a trundle bed which means there is a comfortable place to sleep for guests.5
