The inner cushion may have a slight natural smell from the down and feathers. It’s harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing it and drying it thoroughly in a dryer helps the smell fade faster.

Pillow is flat should have more fillJohnnaI like it except that it is not filled enough and doesn’t appropriately fill out the ikea pillow cases made for that size fill/. It is the lack of plumpness vs dimensions that is the issue.
Too ThinDanielBought a lovely set of throw pillow covers, and this was the recommended pillow insert. I find it to be way too thin, and ended up using just normal pillow insert.

Less filling skimping on feathersDallasOf course you will notice if you like to make feather pillows and the inserts you purchase regularly are arriving with less filling than in the past. Especially the 26x26 insert, it now makes a perfect 22x22. It was formerly a 24x24. I think this is called “shrinkflation”. Did someone think no one would notice?? And the 20x20 went up 100 %
Pillow is flatDottieI bought several 20 inch pillows. I prefer a fuller pillow. They don’t hold their shape and are not comfortable.

Soft and squishyLindsiDidn’t realise till received this is a feather cushion. It doesn’t stay plump but is very soft and squishy. Have noticed feathers do work their way out periodically through the cushion and cover (sanela cotton velvet)
