The inner cushion may have a slight natural smell from the down and feathers. It’s harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing it and drying it thoroughly in a dryer helps the smell fade faster.

Soft and squishyLindsiDidn’t realise till received this is a feather cushion. It doesn’t stay plump but is very soft and squishy. Have noticed feathers do work their way out periodically through the cushion and cover (sanela cotton velvet)

Not enough supportKristenI tested this pillow at my local ikea and it seemed nice and firm with a bit of squish. Upon getting it home and unwrapping, it is a lot thinner than expected and not as full of the one in store. When I leaned my back into it the whole pillow goes flat, so there is no support.
These are great for decoration but won't work for my need. I will be returning them as they're not firm/supportive enough.

Poor qualityErinI’ve bought these inserts for many years. I’ve noticed recently that they are severely under-filled and flat, making the pillows look really bad. I will not be purchasing these again. Sad, because these have been my go-to insert for forever.
