A good design overall, but some flawsJohnPros: The control panel is pressure based, not capacitative. The bottom is open and easy to work on, with metal feet. The connectors were easy to find, and were standard (U.S. garden hose for water, multi-size rubber trimmable female for the included drain hose, generous electrical wire leads). Cons: The electrical junction box is small, and the door is mounted so low that it covers the box partially, making it hard to access. The petroleum jelly on the circulating pump (apparently for sealant) was applied sloppily at the factory, and ended up on the impeller. Because of the tight tolerance between the impeller and the sump, this caused it to jam to near dead still. Servicing was performed to wipe it off. Detergent may have removed the jelly eventually, (this was a brief soapless test not run to cycle completion), but the motor was already very hot, which can't be good for it.4
Peanut Butter Clogs the FiltersStevenPeanut butter clogs the filters in this machine and leaves a gummy sticky mess in the bottom of the machine. Except for the peanut butter sludge, the Essentiell dishwasher is attractive and seems to work properly. Some of my star ratings are bogus because only a few of the categories are a concern to me.3
Dead on arrivalJohnDead on arrival. Won't fill with water more than an inch - PS - tub is NOT stainless either. Yes all connections and fill valve checked - faulty build out of the factory. Imagine my surprise.1
