Bean counters in actionDeyanWe've spent more than $20,000 on IKEA furniture in the last 20+ years and the EKET line is designed with cost savings in mind and even worse executes.
Bought 15 different EKET modules (about $1000) in the beginning of December and assembled and installed all of them last weekend. Maybe 5 of the 15 had panels that matched exactly and were flush when assembled initially - some I had to hammer to fully connect, some went over the edge and then had to hammer back. Precision was not the goal when they were made.
Some of the modules we connected using the brackets in the back - they are completely insufficient to make them look great so we got some connecting screws and made them flush in the front and way more stable for moving.
The only thing that worked well was that all drawers were OK and didn't need much adjustment.
I would have paid double to get the proper connections and not have to deal with these new plastic connectors that save money for IKEA but make the furniture "cheap".
Great drawers!RachelThey must have redesigned the assembly after all the bad reviews on the eket line because I got two of these and they only took me about an hour to put together, very easy and simple instructions. Seem nice so far but haven’t had them long. I like the press to open/close. I stacked 2 with the 4 section shelf next to them and it looks nice, hoping to get the cabinet variation when it comes back in stock in walnut as well. The drawers aren’t huge, but just for craft supplies or general storage they’re fine.

Looks great but fragileAnonymous reviewerScratches if you look at it. I was beyond careful but maybe there was a grain of sand on my carpet and I scooted it while assembling. I got it mounted and it looks great, very easy to assemble. But for a mounted piece I know I'll have to remove from my wall eventually before I sell my house because of how susceptible and unforgiving particle board Ikea furniture is to wear. It's not so sustainable if these types of furniture go to the dump so incredibly often. With the lack of durability and the fact we need to assemble, these types of pieces are actually overpriced. I'll enjoy for now hopefully.

TerribleAnonymous reviewerHands down one of the worst ikea pieces i have ever bought. Instead of using screws or other pieces to get the corners to fit, they use the grooved out slots which easily wear away and then fail. If this isn’t a must have, I would avoid it and find something else.

Elet drawerSualysLove love love. I have them as floating night stands for a king size bed. Great size. They are modern , stylish and the color is perfect. The drawers work great. Would definitely recommend.
Hard to BuildMichaelI've been building Ikea furniture for 20+ years and the Eket is by far the most difficult to get together. The system they incorporated to put together the sides is very difficult to attach. It requires ALOT of muscle strength and force. The system to put the drawers onto the track was also wonky and not sturdy.
Looks greatElitaPurchased this to go on top of two Eket squares. Easy to put together and looks great. The plastic piece that goes across the back of drawer was a little confusing but I got the hang out if. The pictures for that part were a little unclear but overall easy to assemble.

Not worth it!MiriDrawers are not stable enough to stay aligned correctly. I began using the drawers & they started misaligning & becoming crooked its so noticeable. Very disappointed considering this piece was expensive, seeing how it is malfunctioning. I really wanted to love this piece since it comes in a nice color but now very disappointed.
