Machine wash warm, normal cycle.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Nightmare to assembleMargaretGot these to replace some older barstools that are getting pretty rickety. First off… there are two different heights available for these stools. I unfortunately ordered the wrong one. So pay close attention to which one you are picking out. These are one of the hardest to assemble pieces of IKEA furniture I have ever had to deal with. Normally I don’t have an issue with IKEA’s picture-only instructions but there’s a few things here that bewildered me… why can’t I use a drill on the lower part of the legs? I did anyway, because I don’t have the hand strength to drill into wood without a pilot hole. The clips for the seat are also really hard to clip into the bottom of the seat. Like insanely difficult. I got them in, but I don’t think I’m ever getting them off again, so much for being able to wash the cushion cover. Haven’t decided if I’m going to return them yet, but I’m definitely waiting until I make that decision before I put the other one together.3
Great bar stoolsDianeI am marching two bar stools ( from IKEA) which were given to me. At first I was disappointed that these are a darker wood stain, but now I like the alternating light to dark. I did have difficulty attaching the seats to the stools.5
Nice chairs but . . .SusanCheck the height of your counter. These chairs, although very nice and comfortable - padded with backs - are a bit high for my counter top. I'll have to saw off a 1/2"+ so everyone's thighs will fit under.5

THE SEAT WILL NOT ATTACHJudeTask Rabbit noted the hooks under the seat don't work. They are plastic and aren't long enough to click. The seat seems stable but dosen't attach. Another reviewer (Charlaine), 10-24) also had the same problem. Disappointed!2

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 34-36" from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 23-26". Tabletops or counters that measure between 39-42" from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height", and require a seat height of 28-30".
