Should be named WobblesJaredIKEA quality was always on the mid but this stool and some of there new fittings are HORRIBLE1

Good study chair, would recommendJudythe chair has a good study fit for my island. match my decor very well.4
Cute and comfortable LisaSurprisingly comfy for a bar stool. The cushions are soft and give enough back support, plus they go really well with the colors in our kitchen/breakfast nook. 5
Do not last after a year!KimberlyBought these chairs, initially they were good and sturdy! But they are now too wobbly, even when I retighten the screws. Definitely not worth it for the price.1

Bar height stoolRebeccaThese stools were easy to assemble and look great. They're the right height for my daughter and they look great.5
Purchased four Ekedalen chairs, twoMelaniePurchased four Ekedalen chairs, two were great and appeared level after assembly. Two of the chairs have a slight wobble which I was not happy with seeing as the were not cheap.3

Terrible Assembly ExperienceRogerLike most of us, I've put together a lot of Ikea stuff over the years. Maybe I got a lemon this time, but the Ekedalen bar stool is by far the worst engineered Ikea product I've encountered. Most infuriating: there are no pilot holes for the four wood screws, as other reviews have noted. If you don't have a power drill, it's a time-consuming, labor-intensive assembly. Also as others have noted, the seat braces will absolutely not snap onto the frame; it's just not physically possible. You can still use the stools with the seats lightly held in place by the plastic pieces that are meant to snap into the groove. But they will not secure to the chair frame. Additionally, on one of the two stools I bought, one of the long brace bolts would not fit into the receiving piece, so I had to glue one of the four joints in place. Bottom line: avoid this product. It is a HORRIFIC assembly experience and not worth your time or the crazy amount of effort you will need to put into it.1
Comfortable chairLynnWe purchased two of these. The first was fairly simple to construct. The second had major issues with aligning the bolts and using the tool provided. Both are sturdy and comfortable.5
Impossible to assembleSarahI'm well accustomed to assembling IKEA furniture and usually have no problems, but I probably will have to return this because after three hours of trying, we cannot screw the front and back of the legs together due to the lack of pilot holes on the back set of legs.1
bar stoolShukaglad they were in stock.
looks great5
Great for breakfast IslandLindaI confirmed that this size would be a suitable height for the breakfast island in my kitchen. Ordered online and they were delivered within a few days. Pretty easy to assemble. I used a combo of the paper instructions from box and a YouTube tutorial. I also added the Fixa floor protectors because I have hardwood floors.5
Great value for money andMichaelGreat value for money and looks very nice.5
Solid but hard to assembleShawnVery nice looking bar stools! We liked having a cushion for our tush :) These are extremely sturdy BUT... They were very hard to put together (even for my general contractor hubby). Doesn't require a lot of skill, just a lot of patience. Tips: buy the Ikea toolkit so you have a screwdriver that fits the supplied toolbit. For step 2 - the end of the side you are not attaching should have a slight angle. If the pegs aren't lining up or the pieces aren't tightening switch the pieces.
Step 3: Use the other end of the Allen wrench to tighten. No way will you get it tight enough as pictured.
Also have to say the seat would not clip on as it should. The cover bunched up or interfered in some way. We may add L-brackets, or may return the stools. Still, that's not a big issue considering the price.3
