Place the order online and about 3 hours later I had it ensamble and in place ready to be filled with all my books in my studio.

Great, but not for hardback books.PhilipShelves will sag under the weight of hardback books. Aside from that, perfect, beautiful shelves that are easy to assemble and lightweight enough to move. They brighten up the room and give it a clean, sharp, upbeat look. They look great with anything. But, if you have hardback books, text books, plan to use just the lowest shelf for those (it has enough support). The other shelves are limited to 50 lbs before there's sag.

Great look at a great price.StevenThe bookcases in white are a nice addition to my home office. The reason for not a 5 star rating is due to the shelves not being able to accept higher weight levels. I have a large amount of books and in many cases depending on the book sizes, i.e. coffee table vs. standard, I am not able to put more than 5 to 7 books per shelf in some cases before the shelves seem as though they will collapse or buckle. Not being an engineer, I would humbly suggest deeper holes be drilled to accommodate more substantial shelf-holder hardware. Otherwise I am happy with the shelves and the look is more than what was paid.

Good value for a home libraryDarrenBeen expanding my home library, and these Billy cases appear more solid than Billy cases from a decade ago; I also appreciate the rounded edges which are also new from the older version.
My one complaint is they got rid of the older colors so I couldn't get an exact match to my previous Billy cases. Also, the material doesn't cut as cleanly when trying to make some modifications to fit my space better. But all-in-all, it's excellent value for the cost.
