Faulty design and Noice coming when children are working on itJyothiThis Desk Design is faulty, Tiltable is not perfect even after assembling with 100% perfection. Gap between the Tiltable and the part besides it. The Magnetic board is giving noice when kids are working on it. We thought we could fix it as time goes on, We realized after 180 days that we can not fix and its the design fault. Unfortunately we could not return with in 180 days (which we thought 365 days return policy before approaching customer care).
There is no matching under frame to purchaseJoyIKEA website commended the RELATERA under frame, which I purchased to match this table top. It did not match! Customer service could not figure out which one to buy. I spent a lot of time assembling both the top and under frame only finding out I could not complete the table. Not mentioning going through two representatives explaining the assembly manuals and how it did not work. IKEA refuses to refund but asked me to spend more time to disassemble and putting back to original boxes to return. I’m so disappointed with IKEA
Great quality desk but the tilttable is faultyYoginiWe put this desk together in about 1.5 hours and it was easy to construct. The materials are strong with real wood. Once we were done, the locking mechanism on the tilttable wouldn't work. We called Ikea and they told us we had to bring it in. We put the whole heavy desk in our car and drove an hour to Ikea. They agreed that it was a quality defect and replaced the product, which unfortunately we now had to rebuild on our own. We went upstairs while waiting for the replacement and their model also had the same issue. We went home rebuilt the desk and...same issue! This time we decided to just keep it because it's too heavy for us to haul back and the Ikea phone folks were less than helpful. Other than this, we love the desk! It goes up and down with ease and is well made. I wish the tiltable worked as this was one of the reasons we bought it but it is what it is.
