Thin mattressAmyIt was may first time purchasing a mattress from IKEA. This mattress was not the best. It is thin. I thought it would be some what thick after it was aired out. Nope. Thin as paper.. I had bought two. One of my son did not sleep often in this bed because he did not feel comfortable. The other son said he felt ok with it but quite often complains of back pain. I tested the mattress myself and it was not comfortable enough for me to even fall asleep. It is currently too late to return it. Wish I had exchanged it during the time frame. Now we are going to either have to add a box spring or a topper or just replace the mattress when I can save up for one, hopefully sooner than later.2
Very supportive and comfortable. Helped with lower back/hip pain.DonnaFor 6 months I slept on a brand new Mattress Firm foam mattress and started to develop lower back and hip pain. My back/hip pain would actually be WORSE in the morning after sleeping. But I didn't think it could possibly from a new mattress. After xrays, doctor consults, PT, supportive shoes and orthotics, I decided the mattress might be the cause. Prior to this I had an Ikea Morgedal mattress that I loved, but it's been discontinued. I went to the showroom and decided to try the Asvang for two reasons: the egg crate foam design which is recommended for low back/hip pain and the reasonable price. FIRST night on this and I woke up with much less pain. Now after 3 weeks, I wake up with no pain at all. Some reviewers say it's too firm, but I don't find it to be. It's labeled medium-firm and it is. Supportive yes, but very comfortable. I'm sleeping straight through the night now. Highly recommend and would definitely buy another one. Ikea makes the best mattresses I've ever slept on.5
Not the same åsvangHeatherI needed to buy a new mattress so I grabbed the name off the one I currently had, which I bought from ikea 4 years ago. I brought it home and it’s not even remotely the same mattress… imagine my disappointment.2
Firm & just rightFlorignaGood for people that like medium-firm bed. I’m a back/side sleeper with sometimes no pillow and I always get full body pain whenever I sleep on super soft hotel like bed. I’m glad to have purchased this bed along with the daybed. Whenever I’m traveling, I always look forward to being back in this bed. It’s also a plus that you can machine wash the cover.5
Zero comfortAudreyMaybe I'm cheap, but I sprung for the more expensive mattress to entice my co-sleeper to sleep in his own bed. It's one thing to make excuses, but if my toddler repeats something - it's true and I tested the mattress out myself. This mattress felt firm, but there was no comfort. I could feel the slats beneath the mattress in my back. I expected a little more support for a twin mattress with a $100+ price tag.2
OK MattressMaureenUnfortunately, I can't give much of a review. I have used it once. I bought it to use on the Flekke daybed frame and since I can barely pull out the frame to use the matteress I have used it only once. It is a thin mattress but just ok.3
Absolutely AwfulAmyI had to return my original sofa due to a defect. It never dawned on me to keep the original mattress. Unfortunately, the one I had which was soooooo comfortable was discontinued for this bag of bricks. I had to sleep on the sofa while waiting for my new bedroom mattress and my body aches from head to toe. It's not medium firm, it's hard and uncomfortable. Order one from Amazon instead.1
Foam MattressYammieFirm enough.4
It's Definitely Medium FirmTinaThis mattress worked for us. It's medium firm and we like that we can't feel the other person move during the night. Love the washable cover and that it's light and easy to handle.5

Great mattressMatthewI bought this for when I had guest sleep on a sofa bed. When I asked how he slept? " I was amazed. I thought I would feel the center bar go across my back but I didn't." Says something about this mattress.5
Uncomfortable!MeganI got this mattress for our 3 year old’s kura and the nights I have to sleep with her, even just 1-2 hours I am in so much pain it’s insane. Don’t buy it.2
Did they change it??TihitinaI bought this mattress last year for only $80-something dollars and I also bought the wooden slacks and they both were very comfortable, I had no problems. I moved into another place this year and bought the same slacks and mattress, come to find out the price drastically increased and it was so uncomfortable!! The mattress is so thin and my back would arch against the wooden slats. Now I can't sleep on it at all, I had to put a thick sleeping bag over the mattress to even get a semblance of sleep. Don't know what they changed about it or even why but it sucks. Definitely going to return.1
Not what I imagined & Not ComfyAlejandraThis is probably my fault for not going in person to get the correct product name for the actual mattress that I wanted that I usually purchase but I thought I had made a good judgement online (I failed to do so) I expected a THICK mattress that is medium firm. What arrived was a THIN mattress that is medium firm. Even though it is a small twin size I did not expect to be sleeping on a bassinet like mattress. I also forgot that I needed to order a BOX to go under this mattress but since I thought it was going to be thick i did not think i would need one. It is so uncomfy and now I sleep low on the floor on this mattress on a pullout bed because of this mistake, learn from my mistakes.2
Favorite Mattress! JeniI bought these originally for the guest bed that was a twin with a pullout. I ended up rearranging the beds in our house during pregnancy because it was so much more comfortable than our other big brand mattress we were using in our main bed at the time. A couple years later, I got one for our sons "big kid" bed and he sleeps wonderfully on it too. This is my favorite mattress and I will be buying it again when my baby needs to switch to a big bed as well.5
Terrible!JessicaI would never have gone through the hassle of bringing mattresses back to the store for return, but these were such a waste of money. I had to load them into the car and drive across town to return them. Nearly $140 per mattress and they are essentially a foam eggshell. I can't even believe that Ikea is selling the product, let alone at this price tag. They are not capable of providing any support for 150 lb female. When I lay on it completely nearly touching the hard surface under. 1
Still haveJacquelineUse as a guess mat out lasted the frame and it’s still comfortable 4
