Not that firmNoamIt’s pretty soft and also thin. It’s more comfortable than a couch but the mattress could be more firm (especially since it’s a pretty thin mattress). Sometimes I can feel the frame through the mattress

It's fine but never wash the cover LoganI got this for my toddler. He likes it and it's all fine and good, though it's very uncomfortable as an adult. However, the day came (today) where I had to wash the cover due to a dreaded nighttime leak. Well, I don't know what clearly evil person decided to only put the zipper on one of the short ends, but it took me a half hour of wrestling, sweating, and maybe a little crying to get this stupid cover back on. It was like trying to stuff a giant wad of sandpaper into a slightly smaller bag, also made of sandpaper, through a tiny hole. Just....my god. Please, have mercy!

Dreadfully uncomfortable mattress MaireDreadfully uncomfortable mattress. We bought these mattresses for the day bed in our guest room 6 months ago. We used the day bed this week for the first time and this was the most uncomfortable mattress we’ve ever used. We’re embarrassed that we let guests sleep on this! We’re very disappointed because we’ve had other Ikea mattresses which were very comfortable. The daybed is great, pity about the mattress

For the price pretty niceChristinaI bought my 15 year old a nice new twin for $600+… this is not that.
I have a 2 and 1 year old that share a bunk bed. This is great for them, I know it’s firm enough to keep them safe and cheap enough to replace without feeling to connected to the purchase.
For example My two year old is potty training, is he happens to the bed every night (not that he does) I wouldn’t waste time shampooing the mattress like I would a $600 bed. I’d just toss it and buy a replacement same day. It’s light, small and easy to carry.
My 15 year old did sleep on it one night and to my surprise he had no complaints.
If you're young and need something to use while you save up this could work but If you’re 30, grow up
Very firm and thin, but affordable KayleighBought this with the two bed set. I knew the mattresses weren’t rated super well but the convenience of getting mattresses that I knew would fit and at a reasonable price was worth it to me for a guest room that will barely be used. All other places sell futons separate without a mattress and then you have to search to find a mattress that will fit, which seems easy until there a few inches off. I bought a squishy mattress topper that I think will be just fine on this. Had a friend stack both mattresses on each other on the floor and slept just fine.
