Five beds for five sleeping styles

Everyone has their favorite positions – and personal needs – when sleeping. We choose a few common styles and had a little fun with what their beds could look like.

The Cocooner

Often found in something like the fetal position, the Cocooner thrives on feeling secure and sheltered. A draping canopy, combined with thick textiles on the bed and floor, offers the right level of comforting coziness.

The Robot

The Robot is always prepared and has a personality favoring symmetry and strictness. This is reflected in the style of the room. A swift, efficient start to the day is nearly automatic.

The Log

Sleeping on their sides, Logs don’t need a lot of room. A sofa-bed works well – especially with a soft backrest to lean against. But you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for space – go heavy on duvets and textiles to create a cozy bedroom feeling.

The Starfish

Fond of stretching out, the Starfish needs plenty of room. A generous bed and duvet are musts, and an airy, open feel in the bedroom helps.

The Pillow hugger

As the name implies, the Pillow hugger favors the cuddly, snuggly side of sleeping. This stomach-down style calls for loads of pillows, cushions and throws to get the right sleeping surface.
