Can I alter my IKEA products?

As it turns out, IKEA products should only be built according to their assembly instructions and only used for their intended purposes. Therefore, we don't recommend altering the structure of the item.

While we do not recommend altering the structure, certain unfinished wooden items can be painted or stained for a more customized look. It should be noted that we are unable to refund or exchange your items if your merchandise is found to be modified from its original form.
