Sturdy drawer with a clean designMALM is a sturdy drawer with a clean design, with an affordable price. Drawers are not too deep though, just enough space for medium storage.5

Almost PerfectAlexanderpurchased 2 of these. the 1st one had some minor alignment issue but i would fault my own DIY skills for it. the 2nd set however, had indents on it due to how the packages were delivered (stacked) to add on, a part was missing, making the assembly incomplete and thus, a replacement was required. the 3rd set (replacement) had no issues.4

Difficult to assemble, doors hard to openHengSome of the installation steps are inappropriate. Eg the step in page 19 of the main assembly - the screw is so near the bar that there is no room to place any screw driver handle and be able to turn it at the same time. Page 9 of drawer assembly is another impossible situation. There is no indication on how tight or loose the cross bar is to be. After assembling all the longer drawers, not every one of them could fit into the most bottom slot. Some hit an obstruction somewhere. No time to investigate. Drawers are hard to open with just the slopped top edge. Handles/knobs would be easier.3

To have a good experience, pls read and understand the given instructions sheets, and have a standard set of tools available (small hammer, flat and cross screwdrivers, a pen knife). If you're doing this alone, it'll take approx 3-4hrs to complete.4

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
