lovely little omelet pan

So far, this pan has been perfect for 2-3 egg omelets and fried eggs. The steal handle is not too long allowing the pan to fit into the broiler for finishing which melts the cheese and causes the omelet to rise. Works on an induction stove top.

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
